Knowing the right information before everyone is the key to success. The cases in which to apply this maxim are almost infinite, for example:

  • knowing the price of an item before others will give us the opportunity to access it with considerable savings.
  • know when an application's Terms Of Service (TOS) changes
  • when the episode of our favorite show is available
  • a search returns an updated value of what interests us
  • more generally, when a site does not offer an rss feed service or at least not for what we really care about.

To be able to do all this we could update the desired page at intervals of time, which would be tedious and expensive in terms of effort. To facilitate these operations you can use an extension for modern browsers.

In this example we will use the Chrome browser, so open the WebStore page and install Trimgle Web Monitor.

Step 3. Wait for the upload

The application prepares the page and enables you to choose what to monitor by moving the mouse over the text that interests you. When it is highlighted, you can click and monitor it accordingly.
