This article explains how to add a URL to an internet browser's list of so-called "safe sites". The web pages in this particular list are not subject to any content control (cookies, notifications, pop-ups, etc.) by the browser. Unfortunately, mobile browsers do not allow you to use this feature.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Google Chrome (for Computer)
Step 1. Launch Google Chrome
It features a green, red, and yellow circular icon with a blue sphere in the center.
Step 2. Click on the ⋮ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the page.
Step 3. Click on the Settings option
It is displayed at the bottom of the drop-down menu that appeared.
Step 4. Scroll down the new menu appeared to be able to click on the item Show advanced settings
You will find this link at the bottom of the page.
Step 5. Click on the Content Settings item
It is the first option in the "Privacy" section.
Step 6. Click on the Manage exceptions button related to the "Cookies" section
It is the first option listed in the "Content Settings" menu.
Step 7. Enter the URL of the website in question
Enter it in the "Host Name Scheme" text field displayed on the left side of the pop-up window that appeared.
You can also copy the URL and paste it directly in the indicated spot
Step 8. Make sure the "Behavior" menu option selected is "Allow"
The "Behavior" field is located on the right side of the window.
If the currently selected "Behavior" menu option is "Block" or "Cancel on Exit", click on the relevant menu and select "Allow"
Step 9. Click the Finish button
It is located in the lower right corner of the window. The new cookie settings will be saved and applied by Chrome.
Step 10. Repeat this step for all content managed this way by Chrome
Exceptions can also be created for the following web content:
- Pop-up - websites included in the list of exceptions of this option can send pop-up windows to the browser that will be displayed by Chrome without any limitation.
- Position - Websites included in the exceptions list of this option will be able to access the location of the device.
- Notifications - websites included in the list of exceptions of this option will be able to send you notifications regarding their contents.
Step 11. Click the Finish button
It is located in the upper right corner of the "Content Settings" window. At this point the website indicated will be displayed by Chrome without any kind of control.
Method 2 of 4: Safari (for Computer)
Step 1. Launch Safari
It features a blue compass icon.
Step 2. Log in to the website in question
Type the corresponding URL in the address bar displayed at the top of the Safari window and press the Enter key.
Step 3. Click on the site URL using two fingers
This is the website address displayed in the bar at the top of the Safari window. A drop-down menu will appear.
Alternatively, you can hold down the Mac's ⌘ Cmd key while clicking the single mouse button
Step 4. Click on the Add link to favorites option
Step 5. Click on the "Add this page to" drop-down menu
A list of favorite options will be displayed.
Step 6. Click on the item Visited often
It is displayed at the top of the appeared menu.
Step 7. Click the Add button
At this point the website in question has been added to the "Frequently visited" list of Safari, which means that the browser will load all the contents (such as images and pop-up windows) without any limitation.
You may need to restart Safari for the new settings to take effect
Method 3 of 4: Internet Explorer
Step 1. Launch Internet Explorer
Click on the blue icon with the letter "e" surrounded by a yellow ring.
Step 2. Click on the ⚙️ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the Internet Explorer window.
Step 3. Click on Internet Options
It is listed at the bottom in the drop-down menu that appeared. The "Internet Options" dialog box will appear.
Step 4. Click on the Privacy tab
It is one of the tabs displayed at the top of the "Internet Options" window.
Step 5. Click the Sites button
It is located at the top of the "Privacy" tab.
Step 6. Type in the address of the website you want to view without any restrictions
Type it in the "Website Address" text field located in the center of the window.
You can also copy the URL and paste it directly in the indicated spot
Step 7. Click the Allow button
It is located in the right part of the window.
Step 8. Now click on the OK button
The contents of the website that you have entered in the list will be displayed by Internet Explorer without any limitation.
Method 4 of 4: Firefox (for Computer)
Step 1. Launch Firefox
It features an orange fox and blue globe icon.
Step 2. Click on the ☰ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the Firefox window.
Step 3. Click on the Options item
It is displayed in the center of the pop-up menu that appeared.
Step 4. Click on the Contents tab
It is located in the upper left of the Firefox configuration options window.
Step 5. Click the Exceptions button
It is located in the section dedicated to pop-up windows visible in the center of the "Contents" tab.
Step 6. Type in the address of the website you want to view without any restrictions
Type it in the "Website Address" text field located at the top of the window.
You can also copy the URL and paste it directly in the indicated spot
Step 7. Click the Allow button
It is displayed in the right part of the window below the text field where you entered the URL.
Step 8. Click the Save Changes button
It is located in the lower right corner of the window.
Step 9. Click on the Security tab
It is displayed in the upper left of the Firefox configuration options window.
Step 10. Click the Exceptions button
It is located to the right of the "General" item visible at the top of the page.
Step 11. Type the address of the website you want to view without any restrictions
Type it in the "Website Address" text field located at the top of the window.
Step 12. Click the Allow button
It is located in the right part of the window below the text field where you entered the URL.
Step 13. Click the Save Changes button
It is located in the lower right corner of the window. At this point, the contents of the website that you have entered in the list will be displayed by Firefox without any limitation.
