Your Google profile is an indispensable means of making the most of Google Chrome. When you log into Google Chrome using your Google profile, all your bookmarks and passwords will be synced, no matter which computer you are using. You will also be automatically authenticated to all Google services, such as Gmail, Drive, and YouTube. You can also connect Chrome to your Chromecast, so that the page you're visiting is sent to your TV.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Sign into Chrome
Step 1. Click on the Chrome Menu button (☰)
You can log into Chrome using your Google profile, so that all your bookmarks, extensions and saved passwords are synced. This way you can use any Chrome browser as if it were your own.
If you are starting Chrome for the first time after installing it, you will be prompted to log in directly at startup, without having to go to the settings menu
Step 2. Select "Settings" from the Chrome menu
Step 3. Click on the button
Log in to Chrome.
Step 4. Enter your email and password

Step 5. Wait a few moments while Chrome syncs your data
It may take up to a minute to load all your favorites. Your extensions will also be installed, so it may take some time.
Method 2 of 3: Switch User in Chrome
Step 1. Click on the username in the upper right corner of the Chrome window
The latest versions of Chrome have greatly simplified the procedure for switching users. Just click on the name of the active user to log in using another Google profile, after which your favorites and passwords will also be synchronized in a new Chrome window.

Step 2. Click on "Change Person"
A small window will open with all available users.
Step 3. Click on the "Add Person" option
If you don't see this option, follow these steps:
- Click on the Chrome Menu button (☰);
- Select "Settings";
- In the "People" section, check the "Allow everyone to add a person on Chrome" box.
Step 4. Log in with the profile you want to add
You can now log in using the Google profile you want to add to Chrome. A new Chrome window will open and you will be able to see the new name in the top right corner.
Step 5. Open the profile manager to switch between accounts
Once you have added a profile, you can switch between them very quickly by simply clicking on the name in the top right corner. Each profile will open in a new window.
Method 3 of 3: Connect Chrome with your Chromecast
Step 1. Connect your Chromecast to the screen you want to use
Before installing the Chromecast software on your computer, connect the Chromecast to the device you want to use it with.
- If the Chromecast can't fit into your TV's HDMI port, use the HDMI extension cable provided in the box.
- Make sure the Chromecast is plugged into a power source.
Step 2. Tune the TV to the correct HDMI channel
You usually find the channel number next to the port itself.
Step 3. Download the Chromecast App for your computer or device
You can download it from chromecast.com/setup.
Step 4. Launch the app and follow the prompts to set up your Chromecast
You only need to do this once, then you can connect any device.
- Start the app and select "Install a new Chromecast";
- Wait for the app to connect to your new Chromecast;
- Make sure the code on the TV and in the installer are the same;
- Enter the network settings for your Chromecast.
Step 5. Click on the "Get started with Chromecast" button
A Google Chrome tab will open that allows you to install the Google Cast extension. Follow the directions to install this extension on Chrome.
If you installed your Chromecast using a phone or tablet, you will need to manually install the Google Cast extension on your computer by searching for it in the Chrome Web Store. You can open the Web Store by clicking on the Chrome menu button, then select "More tools" → "Extensions", then click on "Try other extensions" at the bottom of the list
Step 6. Start streaming your Chrome tabs to Chromecast
Now that the Google Cast extension has been installed, you can stream your Chrome tabs directly to the Chromecast.
- Open the contents you want to cast to the Chromecast;
- Click on the "Google Cast" extension button at the top of the Chrome window, next to the Menu button;
- Select your Chromecast in the "Cast this card to…" section. The active tab will appear on your TV screen.
