This article shows you how to access Google's resources for supporting your customers. It should be noted that it is not possible to contact Google customer support directly by email or voice call. In reality, the only way to contact Google staff is to ask for support for specific products (for example Android devices) or to be a press officer. Since you cannot contact the company staff to resolve problems related to products such as Gmail or YouTube, you will need to use the online support website. Remember that any phone number or email address that is advertised as an official Google contact is actually a scam.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Use Google Web Support
Step 1. Understand how Google's online support center works
Given that it does not have the resources to offer direct technical assistance to its users regarding issues concerning the recovery or modification of the password to access the account or the restoration of the latter, the company has chosen to create a center of support in which it has enclosed all the procedures necessary to solve in total autonomy most of the problems that users may encounter using its services.
While the online support center does not allow you to speak directly to an operator, it is the only tool that users can use to resolve problems they encounter using Google products
Step 2. Log in to Google's online support center
Paste the URL https://support.google.com/ into the address bar of your computer's browser and press the "Enter" key.
Step 3. Select a product
Click on the name of the product you wish to receive assistance for.
For example, if you are experiencing a problem using Google Chrome, you will need to click the corresponding icon displayed on the main page of the support center
Step 4. Review all available resources
A list of topics related to issues users face most frequently when using the selected Google product will be displayed. Go through the list to find your specific problem.
Step 5. Select an article category
Click on the name of the category or topic relating to the problem you want to solve. The corresponding section will appear in which you will find a series of more specific options.
- If clicking on a category brings up a specific page of the Google help center, skip the next step.
- You can also search for a specific question or problem using the search bar at the top of the page.
Step 6. Select the support center article related to the problem you need to resolve
Click on the link of one of the articles that appeared in the chosen section. You will be redirected to the help center page where you will find the detailed solution to the problem.
If you performed a search based on a specific question or problem, click on one of the results that appeared in the drop-down menu displayed below the search bar
Step 7. Follow the instructions on the Google Help Center page
Read this entire article very carefully, then practice the instructions it contains to solve the problem you are facing.

- Most articles published within the Google help center have a list of all other related content on the right side of the page.
Step 8. Displays the numbers to call for technical support for an Android device
If you need help with an Android device other than Pixel smartphones, please follow these instructions:
- Click on the icon Pixel Phone displayed on the main page of the Google support center;
- Click on the link Contact us displayed in the upper right corner of the page;
- Click on the item Android device support;
- Review the drop-down menu containing the list of phone numbers you can call for assistance.
Step 9. Ask to be called back for assistance with a Pixel phone
If you own a Pixel 1 or a Pixel 2, you can choose whether to be contacted by technical support via a voice call or via chat by following these instructions:
- Click on the icon Pixel Phone displayed on the main page of the Google support center;
- Click on the link Contact us displayed in the upper right corner of the page;
- Click on the link Pixel device support;
- Select the Pixel smartphone model in your possession;
- Click on the option Request callback to be contacted by phone or Request chat to be able to converse directly with a technician via chat;
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Step 10. Get help with a Google Drive issue
This is the only Google product for which the company offers real technical support. To ask to be contacted by Google via chat or e-mail, follow these instructions:
- Click on the icon Google Drive displayed on the main page of the Google support center;
- Click on the link Contact us displayed in the upper right corner of the page;

Select a topic, then choose a specific category if required;
In this case the option Ask for a refund cannot be selected.
- Click on the item Request chat or Support via email;
- Follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the chat or to have an email conversation with Technical Support.
Method 2 of 2: Contact Google Directly
Step 1. Be aware that there are only a few ways you can contact Google staff directly
Unless you're a journalist or a member of the G Suite program, the only way you can contact Google is to send a paper letter to the company's inbox or apply for one of the open positions.
The only exceptions to this rule are related to technical support dedicated to Android devices, Pixel Phones and Google Drive described in the previous method of the article
Step 2. Contact only and exclusively the phone numbers that have been provided to you directly by Google
There are many scams that are perpetrated by strangers using telephone numbers allegedly referring to the Californian company. In order not to be duped (or simply not to waste precious time) limit yourself to calling only the phone numbers that are provided to you directly by Google or that are indicated on the official documents of the company. For example, you can call one of the numbers listed on the G Suite service form, but not those that appear on websites that aren't owned by Google.
- The same concept must be applied to email addresses and postal addresses.
- Google staff will never ask you to reveal your login password during a phone call or chat.
Step 3. Contact the Google press office by email
If you are a journalist and would like to speak to Google's PR staff, you can send an email to the following address
. Depending on the subject of the email, you may or may not receive an answer to your questions.
Google staff will only respond to emails received from accredited journalists
Step 4. Send a paper letter to the Google office address
If you love using regular mail and don't expect to receive a reply, you can write to the following address: 1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View CA 94043 California. It is very unlikely that you will receive a response to your letter, so if the problem you are facing requires a quick and easy solution, use a different means of communication to forward your inquiries.
Step 5. Contact G Suite Service Support
If you have a regular Google account, you can't follow these instructions, but if you're a G Suite administrator, you'll have 24/7 technical support. If you're a G Suite administrator, follow these instructions to get in touch with technical support staff:
- Access the following website https://gsuite.google.com/support/ using your computer browser;
- Select the tool with which you wish to be contacted (for example, click on the icon Helpline if you want to be called back by Google's support staff);
- Click on the button Sign in to G Suite;
- Log in using your G Suite administrator account credentials;
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. If you have chosen to contact Google support by phone, you will need to follow the instructions given to you by the auto responder.
Step 6. Apply to work for Google
The last tool you have at your disposal to be able to contact Google directly is to apply for one of the open job positions. You can view the list of vacancies by following these instructions:
- Access the following website https://careers.google.com/jobs using your computer browser (it is only available in English);
- Change the location using the "Locations" text field displayed on the left side of the page;
- Click inside the "Search jobs" field and press the Enter key;
- Scroll through the list of results that appeared;
- Select the job you want to apply for, then click the button Apply located in the upper right part of the section relating to the description of the assignment;
- Fill out the form that appeared with the necessary information to be able to apply for the job you have chosen, then follow the instructions that will appear on the screen.
Advice
One of the misconceptions common to many people is that they think they can contact Google customer service for issues like recovering your security password, changing your account details, and so on. Unfortunately, even a company like Google has neither the time nor the staff to be able to provide such assistance to all of its users

- Google staff shouldn't need to ask you for your personal password to access any of the Google services you normally use.
- Avoid sharing your personal information, especially about your location, by phone or email.
