This wikiHow teaches you how to download an image from a Facebook Messenger conversation and save it to your computer using a browser.
Steps
Step 1. Open Facebook by typing the address in the bar and press Enter on the keyboard.
You will see the News Feed.
If you do not log in automatically, enter your e-mail address or telephone number and password
Step 2. Click on the Messenger button
It represents a speech bubble containing a lightning bolt. It is located between friend requests and notifications at the top right. A drop-down menu with all the latest conversations will open.
Alternatively, you can open Messenger in full screen by going to www.messenger.com in your browser
Step 3. Locate the conversation containing the image you want to download
Click on it to open it. A pop-up window will appear at the bottom right.
If you've opened Messenger.com, you'll see the conversation full screen instead of in a pop-up window
Step 4. Find the image you want to save in the conversation
Scroll through it until you find the photo you want to download.
Step 5. Click on the image
The photo will open full screen on a black background.
Step 6. Click Download
This button is located at the top left. It allows you to download the image and save it to your computer's Downloads folder.
