Scribd is an excellent service that allows its users to share their documents. It comes with security measures that help protect against plagiarism and piracy and allows subscribers to print a document in its entirety. To print a Scribd document, you need to have an account. Once you have an account, you can proceed to step 1.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Connecting to Your Scribd Account
Step 1. Open the Scribd website
In your browser, open a new tab and type www.scribd.com in the address bar. Press "Enter" on your keyboard to open the site.
Step 2. Log in to your account
On the Scribd homepage, you can see the "Log in" button at the top right: click on it and the login screen will open. You can choose to use your Facebook account or a username and password.
- If you choose to use your username and password for login, enter your email address in the username field on the left and your Scribd account password in the password field on the right.
- Once you have entered your login details, press the "Log in" button below.
Part 2 of 2: Printing a Scribd Document
Step 1. Search for a document
When logged in to Scribd, you can read a document and download it to your computer if the author allows the download to its readers. Use the search bar above to search for a document. Type in the name of a document you would like to download and press "Enter".
Step 2. Look at the document
When the results appear, click on the thumbnail of the document or its image. You will be redirected to the preview page where you can view a limited portion of the document, depending on how much of it the author wants you to see.
Step 3. Download the document
Click on the orange download button in the upper right corner of the page. The download page will open.
- You must be a Scribd subscriber in order to download the document.
- Click on "Download Now" at the bottom of the page. The download should begin. Wait for it to finish.
Step 4. Open the downloaded file
Click on the file you just downloaded (it could be in PDF or DOcX format, depending on what you have chosen) at the bottom of your browser. The file will be opened.
Step 5. Open the document print settings
Click on "File" from the top menu bar. Then click on "Print …" at the bottom of the drop-down menu. You will see the print settings.
Step 6. Print the document
Click on "Print" in the lower right corner of the window to start printing a hard copy of the document.
