12 Ways to Cheat During an Exam Using an Electronic Device

Cheating on an exam is never a good idea. Put yourself and your future at risk. However, if you have to, at least try to get it right.

Steps

Method 1 of 12: Using the Internet

Step 1. While you are taking the exam, consult your mobile phone, netbook or other portable device

Using the internet, find answers to questions you don't know. Make sure the professor doesn't see you.

• Warning: this method only works if your device can access the internet.

  

• If you get caught using your device, you will be excluded from the exam. It's a good idea to carry some notes and sneak them out of your pocket, making sure no one sees you!

  

Method 2 of 12: Using the Calculator - Method 1

Step 1. Hide notes inside the pocket calculator

Many calculators come with notes that explain how to use the different functions. If possible, write down any formulas or problems on these slips.

• Professors won't get suspicious because they'll think you're trying to solve an exercise!

  

Method 3 of 12: Using the Calculator - Method 2

Step 1. In exams where the use of the calculator is allowed, use one in which you can also enter texts

Record all equations, notes, theorems, proofs, etc. Create a fake password protected program and use the text box. No teacher will be able to access it. However, in many exams the use of programmable calculators is not allowed and the supervisors (those who verify that everything is regular) could check.

Method 4 of 12: Using the Calculator - Method 3

Step 1. During a math exam, put the calculator between your legs and, whenever you need it, type in the sum and pretend you're stretching your neck so you can look at the calculator and read the answer

Step 2. Practice a little before the exam so you know exactly where the buttons on the calculator are

Method 5 of 12: In the bathroom with the iPod

Step 1. Copy all your notes to the iPod (via iTunes for all iPod Nano series; via the iPod itself for touch models)

Alternatively, you can install a file manager on your device and copy all your notes into it.

Step 2. On exam day, wear something with pockets (such as a pair of shorts) under the clothes you use to go to school

Step 3. Put the iPod in the pocket of the shorts you wore underneath so that if someone asks you to empty your pockets, in those of the clothes you wore on you will have nothing

Step 4. Before entering school, make sure that the iPod volume and the select button are turned off

Step 5. If you have doubts about an answer, ask the teacher to go to the bathroom and, if he tells you that it is not possible, tell him that you just can't take it anymore and that you are not able to continue the test if you do not go first in the bathroom

Step 6. Lock yourself in one of the bathrooms and lift your feet off the floor

Step 7. When you are well hidden in the bathroom, take out the iPod and check your notes

Don't take too long or someone might get suspicious.

Step 8. When you are done, hide the iPod again and act as if you have simply answered a "call of nature"

Step 9. The advantage of this method is that no one can ask you to take off your pants and therefore no one can prove that you have cheated

Method 6 of 12: Using the Mobile Phone - Method 1

Step 1. Copy all the information you need into your mobile notes

Put the phone on your lap so the professor doesn't see it, and when you need to check an answer, look down and read the information you copied. Make sure no one is calling you. You can also involve a friend to text you the answers, but be careful with the professors.

Step 2. To quickly transfer the information you need to your mobile phone, open your computer's notepad and use the copy and paste commands, save the file and transfer it to your mobile phone via cable or wireless

Some phones, such as Nokia phones, are not 100% compatible with the computer's notepad. One solution is to use different text-reading programs such as yongReader.

Step 3. If you have access to 3G, you can easily copy and paste or write notes for the whole year on the page of a free website or blog

Then use your mobile browser to read your notes as a web page. Using the internal search tool, you can find the answers you need in 3 seconds.

Method 7 of 12: Using the Mobile Phone - Method 2

Step 1. Using your phone, photograph your notes

Step 2. During the exam, put the phone between the other things you have on the counter or hide it inside the case

Step 3. Before the exam you can also send yourself messages containing notes or, during the exam, write to a friend if you need help

• Remember to set both the phone and the keypad sounds to “silent”.

  

Method 8 of 12: Using the MP3 Player - Method 1

Step 1. Get a cheap microphone and record all the notes you may need during the exam

Record each chapter, section, etc. on separate tracks. so that it is easy to go and retrieve them.

Step 2. Copy the audio to the player

Step 3. Ask if you can listen to music while taking the exam

Use the tactic "I always study listening to music and according to the theory of state-dependent memory ….", if necessary. If listening to music isn't allowed, put a headset up your sleeve or wear a hood (it's easy to hide a small headset without using a flashy hood if you have long hair).

Step 4. Listen to your "music" during the exam

Step 1. Prepare a file with all your notes and transfer it to your reader (you may need special software) or turn the notes into an image file and upload it to the reader

Some readers give the possibility to write the lyrics of a song - this option can be used to write notes for the exam.

Step 2. To go to school, wear a pair of baggy shorts

Step 3. Make sure your desk is perfectly behind that of the person in front of you

Step 4. Place your feet against the legs of the chair in front of you, with your knees bent to hide your womb

Step 5. Keep the player on your lap with the zipper of your pants open

If the teacher approaches or suspects something, slip it inside your pants. Warning: this works best if you and the teacher are of the opposite sex, especially for girls with male teachers.

Method 10 of 12: Using the MP3 Player - Method 3

Step 1. Record your notes using a microphone and transfer them to your MP3 player

If the teacher does not allow you to listen to music (which is quite likely), wear a jacket, sweater or long-sleeved shirt during the exam.

Step 2. Take the headphones and pass them inside the left sleeve so that the earphones are close to your wrist

Keep the reader on your lap under the sweater.

Step 3. Start the recording and, during the exam, rest your head on your left hand as if you want to rest

In this way the earphones will be close to your ear and you can hear the recording without attracting too much attention.

Method 11 of 12: Using the MP3 Player - Method 4

Step 1. Download Speakonia and write all your notes in this program

It is a "text-to-speech" program that transforms what you have written into an audio file, allowing you to listen to your notes as if they were being read by someone. Some programs also have the ability to choose the accent of the voice that reads.

Step 2. Save the file in “wav” format and transfer it to your MP3 player

Step 3. Program the player for playback

Step 4. As seen in method 3, wear something with long sleeves and slide the earbuds through one of the sleeves so that they come close to the palm of your hand

Step 5. Holding the headset in your hand, place your palm against your ear and write down the answers

Method 12 of 12: Spy Earphone Method

Step 1. One of the most popular methods of cheating on an exam lately is to use bluetooth headphones with induction transmitter

This means wearing a micro earpiece hidden in the ear canal. This will connect wirelessly to an induction transmitter hidden somewhere on you, usually tied around the neck under your clothes, in a bluetooth pen or maybe inside a pair of glasses! The induction transmitter in turn will connect to the mobile phone or MP3 player inside your pocket.

• As described for the MP3 player method, you can record your notes and then listen to them again. The difference is that, by choosing bluetooth earphones, you will have no wires lying around and it will be really difficult for them to discover you. The other option is to call someone before the exam and stay in contact with this person through the bluetooth headset and the microphone integrated into the induction transmitter.
