After wearing makeup all day, your skin needs to breathe. According to research, aloe vera has excellent nourishing properties for the epidermis; in fact, it fights skin aging, hydrates and protects. It is very easy to use it to prepare a product that can remove make-up from the skin and at the same time make it more beautiful. If you don't have a lot of time, you can instead create natural makeup remover wipes that contain few ingredients, without the usual preservatives and chemicals found in commercial products.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Prepare Aloe Vera Makeup Remover

Step 1. Prepare everything you need

You will need 60 ml of aloe vera gel, 60 ml of raw honey and a tablespoon (15 ml) of an oil of your choice (extra virgin olive oil, jojoba, sweet almond, avocado, apricot, argan or coconut). You will also need a small container.

  • You can use a 120-180ml soap jar or dispenser. Just make sure it comes with an airtight cap.
  • Buy aloe vera gel that contains few preservatives or other ingredients. You can find good quality ones in almost any health food store.

Step 2. Mix gel, honey and oil

Measure the ingredients in the container (first make sure it's clean). Mix them so that the honey dissolves completely in the gel and oil.

If the container prevents you from mixing comfortably, you can use a bowl for this step, then pour the makeup remover into its container

Step 3. Save the makeup remover

If you bought the gel from a store, you can keep it at room temperature, as it contains preservatives. If you extracted the gel directly from the plant, the makeup remover should be kept in the fridge and used within a few weeks.

If you made the makeup remover with a purchased gel, you can keep it at room temperature for several months

Step 4. Use makeup remover

Take a spoonful from the jar or squeeze it from the dispenser into the palm of your hand. Massage it into your face and let it sit for a minute so that it penetrates deeply. Remove it with a damp cloth.

The makeup remover should have the same thick consistency as a gel, so you may need to rinse the cloth several times while removing makeup and product residue

Step 1. Prepare everything you need

Aloe vera makeup remover wipes contain only aloe vera oil and juice. You will need half a cup of a good quality oil (such as extra virgin olive oil, sweet almond, avocado, apricot, argan, coconut, or jojoba). Add one and a half cups (350 ml) of aloe juice. Get a 500ml bottle or jar with an airtight seal and a box of cotton pads.

Aloe vera juice can be found in stores that sell natural products. Look for a pure one, with no additional ingredients

Step 2. Pour the oil and juice into the container (first make sure it's clean)

Close it well.

You can use a glass bottle or a plastic squeeze bottle. If you are going to spray the makeup remover on a cotton pad (rather than soaking it in the product), you may want to opt for the squeezable bottle

Step 3. Shake the container vigorously

The makeup remover ingredients should blend well for a few seconds, but after a while they will separate. This is normal: the oil will always come to the surface.

Store the makeup remover in the fridge after using it. Try to use it within a month, as aloe vera juice is water based and will spoil over time

Step 4. Use the makeup remover with the help of cotton pads

Before starting, shake the bottle to mix the ingredients well. Soak a clean pad and massage it into your face. Make a final rinse with water to remove all makeup and make-up remover residues.
