Would you like to turn your favorite powder eyeshadow into a creamy eyeshadow? Doing so is easier than you think. All you have to do is take your favorite eyeshadow, mix it with some petroleum jelly or cream, and apply it on your gorgeous eyelids.
Steps
Step 1. Choose a small container to hold your cream eyeshadow
An old contact lens container will do just fine, as will any other with a lid.
Step 2. Scrape the eyeshadow and pour it into the container
Use a suitable object, such as a butter knife, tweezers, or your fingernail and scratch the eyeshadow powder and then drop it into the container below. In the example I used an old eyeshadow applicator, don't worry if the product crumbles instead of turning into a uniform powder.
Step 3. Add a small amount of binder, such as cream or petroleum jelly
It will allow you to get a creamy eyeshadow that adheres to the eyelids. Evaluate the following points:
- Initially, add less binder than needed. You can always increase the doses, but it will be impossible to reduce them. If in doubt, start with a small pea amount and add more as needed.
- Use a cream. If you want to get a creamy shimmer eyeshadow, opt for a cream highlighter.
- Or use petroleum jelly.
Step 4. Mix and get your creamy eyeshadow
Incorporate the binder into the powder and mix with a suitable object. Gradually it will take on a creamy consistency.
Step 5. Keep stirring and try to get rid of any lumps
Step 6. Store your creamy eyeshadow in the closed container
Advice
- For a perfectly even color, you can heat the petroleum jelly in a double boiler and then stir in the powder eyeshadow.
- Apply a small amount of your new eyeshadow to the inside of your wrist. Make sure there is no allergic reaction before applying it to the eyelid.
