Long, thick lashes make eyes look bigger and more expressive. If mother nature wasn't generous and your lashes are short and sparse, learn how to wear fake ones.
Steps
Step 1. Measure your lashes
Before gluing them, you need to make sure they are the right size for your eye. Place the strip of lashes on the eyelid and, if necessary, cut it.
If the lashes are too long for your taste, trim them to create a more natural look. Remember that those to be applied to the outer corner of the eye should be longer
Step 2. Apply the glue to the outer edge of the lashes with an applicator or toothbrush
Let it dry a bit before applying the lashes.
Alternatively, you can squeeze a thin line of glue onto the back of the non-dominant hand. Now, gently place your lash on the glue. Then, gently rub the outer edge of the false lashes so that the glue can spread over the affected surface
Step 3. Place the false lashes on the eyelid, getting as close as possible to the natural ones
Arrange them from the top and not in front of them so that they coincide with the natural line of your lashes.
Step 4. Wait for the glue to dry naturally
Once the false lashes are in place, do not hold them and do not exert any pressure.
Step 5. Apply mascara
This will allow your lashes to blend with the false ones for a natural look. You can use the black, brown or gray one.
Step 6. Apply liquid eyeliner to the upper eyelid
Make sure you fill in the spaces between the false and natural lashes. Use a black, brown, or dark gray one.
Step 7. Use makeup remover to remove false lashes
Dip a cotton swab in the makeup remover and use it to gently scrub the area where you applied the false lashes. Leave it on for a minute and remove your lashes.
Step 8. Finished
Advice
- Dip a cotton swab into the eye makeup remover to clean them and remove traces of glue, mascara or eyeliner. Keep them in their case.
- Remove them before going to bed to avoid eye irritation.
- Apply them in a well-lit place.
- Individual false lashes are applied like strip lashes. Start at the outer corner of the eye and work inward.
- Another useful trick is to put some glue on the lashes at least 15 seconds before applying them.
Warnings
- Do not share your false eyelashes and eye makeup with other people to prevent germs from spreading.
- If you get glue or makeup in your eyes, rinse them immediately with warm water.
- Wash your hands before applying false eyelashes and eye makeup.
