Menstruation is not a cause for shame; however, if you have recently had them, you may not want to let school know that you use tampons or pads. Maybe you don't want your friends or teachers to know or maybe you are just a private person. If you want to keep these details private, know that there are several methods of hiding intimate hygiene products.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Be Prepared
Step 1. Keep the accessories in an easy-to-carry container
Make sure you always have some pads or tampons inside your school bag or locker.
Some girls always have their makeup bag on hand, while others can use a simple pencil case
Step 2. Organize a "period kit" and keep it in your locker or backpack
Put some emergency products inside, in case your period starts unexpectedly.
- The kit should contain some tampons, about four tampons, and some spare clothing. It is not necessary to have pants, but if you have a locker in the locker room of the school gym, you can consider keeping a pair.
- Use a zip-lock plastic bag or other similar container; this way, you can group all the material and keep it safe.
Step 3. Find out about the emergency solutions available to you
If you are taken by surprise, remember that some schools have automatic tampon dispensers in the bathrooms. You may even have a well-organized friend who offers you one of hers.
If the figure of the infirmary is present in the school, most likely there will be a supply of sanitary pads available; if not, you can ask a janitor or teacher
Part 2 of 3: Hiding the Materials
Step 1. Use the noise of the bag moving to hide the noise of the plastic wrap
The inner and outer pads are individually packaged with material that creates a lot of noise. When you have to look for them inside the bag, move the rest of the contents to mask it.
The "clatter" of pens and keys is a great distraction from the noise of the plastic
Step 2. Ball the tampon or tampon in your hand or slip it into the sleeve of your shirt
You will find that there are many places to hide a small object on the body.
Tampons, especially those without applicators, fit in a fist. It's not easy to get them to stick up your sleeve, but you can usually hold them in place with a finger or two
Step 3. Hide the tampon in the boot or sock
Since the feet are under the bench, the movement is more subtle than putting the tampon in your pocket.
- Put the bag or container in which you keep the material between your legs; reach inside with one hand and slide the tampon or tampon into the shoe or sock.
- You could pretend to bend over to put something away or to grab an object; that way, you have an excuse to rummage through the bag.
Step 4. Ask to leave the classroom and go to your locker
If you keep everything you need in a school locker, you don't need to worry about taking sanitary pads while in class.
Try to save emergency supplies only for real emergencies, and bring new pads to school when you know you are about to menstruate
Step 5. Carry a small bag or makeup bag with you
These containers are much more visible, but at least you don't have to tinker with intimate hygiene products in the classroom.
A pencil case is a good solution
Step 6. Take other things
If you need to go out to retrieve pads, take other items, too, like a wallet or water bottle. This way, you can pretend you need to refill the bottle or want to buy something from the vending machine.
Some girls keep sanitary pads or tampons hidden in their bottles. Panty liners and tampons without applicator can be stowed away in your wallet without difficulty
Step 7. Slip the tampon between the mobile phone and its cover
If you have a flip-lock cell phone case, you can hide a tampon in it.
Put your hand in your bag while holding the phone and slide the tampon into it, finally put the phone in your pocket
Part 3 of 3: Avoid this Situation
Step 1. Go to the bathroom between classes
This way, you can carry your backpack and bag with you without being noticed.
Even if you think you don't need to change your tampon, go to the toilet anyway. there is nothing worse than sitting in class and realizing that you are in an emergency situation
Step 2. Use the menstrual cup
It can be worn for up to 12 consecutive hours and you don't have to change it, but empty it.
It is a device that respects the environment and also the intimate hygiene of the woman
Step 3. Keep the products in your pocket
Most of the pockets are large enough to hold an internal or external tampon.
If you go to school with the material already hidden about you, you don't have to worry about sneaking it up during class
Step 4. Put two pads on top of each other
Put two in the morning and when the first one is dirty, take it off and throw it away - by doing so, you already have a clean sanitary pad on your panties.
Be careful so that the adhesive on the upper pad does not stick too much to the lower pad, as it could tear the latter. It is best to overlap them slightly out of phase, with the first a little further ahead than the second
Advice
- Don't be ashamed to ask friends for help; if they were in the same situation, you would help them, so there is no reason to be afraid.
- If the teacher does not allow you to go to the bathroom, do not suffer for the duration of the lesson; inform him that you are indisposed and that you absolutely must go to the services.
- Keep a small zipped wallet in the back pocket; put your sanitary pads and tampons in it, it will look like a normal wallet.
Warnings
- You should change your tampons, both internal and external, every 5-6 hours depending on the flow.
- Do not keep a tampon inserted for more than 8 hours, as toxic shock syndrome may develop.
