Organizing the laundry is not that difficult. You only need 3 laundry bags or bags, depending on what you use to collect the dirty clothes. This way you won't have to worry about finding a blue shirt among the underwear!
Steps
Step 1. Start by spreading all the clothes on the floor or bed
Step 2. Get three laundry bags
-
The white garments will go into the white bag.
-
Garments with light colors will go in the bag for light colors.
-
Dark garments will go with the other dark garments in another bag.
Step 3. Tie the bag or zip it up, depending on the type of bag you own
Step 4. Go to the laundry
Do not leave detergent, stain remover and / or bleach at home!
Step 5. Look for 3 or 4 free washing machines next to each other so you don't have to worry about moving from one part of the laundry room to the other to load your clothes
Step 6. Load in clothes into separate washing machines
This means that you will put whites in one washing machine, light colored items in another and dark ones in yet another.
Step 7. Treat stains before putting clothes in the washing machine using a stain remover
Step 8. Add the detergent
- Whites will need to be washed at a high temperature using detergent and bleach (optional).
- Light colors can be washed with hot and cold water. Check the label for the correct temperature.
- Dark garments should be washed with cold water as they can fade.
Step 9. Charge the money depending on what the washing machine accepts
Step 10. Check if the stains you treated are gone when you loaded all the clothes
If the stains are still there, you may need another wash. If you have both white and colored, but in small quantities, you can wash them together but remember to only do this in cold water.
Step 11. Load the freshly washed clothes into the dryer
- Dry dark clothes at medium-high temperatures.
- For light colors, set the temperature from high to very high.
- The laundry should be dried at a high temperature.
Step 12. Remove all clothes as soon as they have dried to prevent them from wrinkling
Especially if you have delicate clothes or blouses that you want to wear, otherwise you will have to iron or steam them.
Step 13. Don't forget the clothes you washed a second time
If you don't plan on spending any more money on drying them, you can take them home and put them to dry on a coat rack or hanger.
Step 14. Fold or hang the clothes and put them in their place
Advice
- Don't use fabric softener wipes too often; they are not suitable for clothes and especially towels, as they will not allow the towel to absorb a lot of water when you use it to dry yourself after a shower.
- Do not leave clothes and linens unattended, someone else could steal them.
- Do not overdo it by putting all your clothes together (white, colored and dark clothes), as dark clothes could fade and ruin the light ones.
- Also, if you leave your things unattended someone could change the washing temperature, ruining them.
Warnings
- Don't load too many clothes.
- Don't leave your belongings unattended, someone might steal them after seeing some cute clothing.
- If the dryer gives off a strange burning smell, don't use it! Find another one instead.
- Use bleach only on whites. Chlorine bleach is only one on whites, oxygen-based bleach is good for colors.
