Marijuana biscuits are an alternative way of taking THC for people who do not want to smoke and their consumption produces more intense and lasting effects. If you want to make some, you must first make the marijuana butter or "cannabutter"; later, just use this ingredient in place of regular butter in your favorite cookie recipe or cook plain chocolate ones.
Marijuana is considered an illegal drug in many countries, this article is for information purposes only and is not intended to promote its use.

Steps
Part 1 of 2: Making Marijuana Butter
Step 1. Gather the ingredients
The "cannabutter" is a normal butter in which the THC of the marijuana leaves has been infused and is an essential ingredient for cookies. Its preparation is a simple but long process, which requires a good dose of plant material. Here's what you need:
- 230 g of unsalted butter;
- 15 g of marijuana (chopped and without seeds or stems);
- 250 ml of water.
Step 2. Make a double boiler to melt the butter
This method allows the fat to be melted and the grass to macerate without using too much heat. If you have a double boiler, you can use it or you can make one.
- Put a large broth pot on the stove and fill it with water to about 1/3 of its capacity; place on top of it a medium-sized glass bowl that is large enough to overlap the edge of the pan, but that at the same time its bottom can stay close to the water.
- It is necessary to heat the cannabis in order to extract the active ingredient and achieve the psychotropic effect of the herb. You cannot digest the THC found in "raw" marijuana; therefore, eating plain weed should have no effect.
Step 3. Melt the butter in the upper bowl of the double boiler
Put it in the container and turn on the heat on medium-low level; the heat heats the water and the steam slowly melts the butter.
- Keep the heat to low and prevent the butter from boiling.
- THC is a fat-soluble and non-water-soluble substance; this means that you need to heat the herb in butter or oil to extract the active ingredient for use in cooking.
- If you don't eat dairy and don't want to use butter, you can use vegetable margarines or coconut oil.
Step 4. Wrap the marijuana in cheesecloth
While the butter is melting, you can prepare the plant material by placing a piece of cheesecloth on a clean surface and folding it in half twice; in this way, you prevent the grass from coming out. Place the marijuana in the center of the fabric.
- First, fold the shorter side of the cheesecloth towards the center, followed by a long edge, and roll it up to the opposite edge, like a burrito.
- Use a piece of string to tie the bundle, wrap it all around evenly and tie it to make sure the fabric does not open.
Step 5. Put the "bag" of marijuana in the melted butter
You would have to bend it a little to get it to fit in the bowl and squeeze it lightly with a metal spoon to submerge it.
Step 6. Add 250ml of very hot water
In this way, you cover the marijuana with liquid and facilitate the process of extracting the THC; pour all the hot water over the melted butter and grass bundle mixture.
Remember that THC is a fat-soluble and non-water-soluble substance; this means that water alone is unable to extract large quantities from the plant material. Its function is only to heat the herb, so that the active ingredient is absorbed by the butter
Step 7. Cover the container and let the cannabis infuse
Use a heat resistant lid and do not disturb the mixture for 4-6 hours; remember that the longer you wait, the more concentrated the cannabutter becomes.
If you don't want very intense butter, you can stop the brewing process after 3-4 hours, otherwise wait up to 6 hours
Step 8. Remove the bundle of weed from the butter
By the time the process is done, the fat should have turned green. Remove the bowl from the water bath using oven gloves to protect your hands from the heat, remove the bag from the liquid with a skimmer and set it aside.
You can use a second wooden spoon to crush the bag and extract all the liquid
Step 9. Wait for the butter to cool
You can leave it in the same bowl or transfer it to a second container according to your tastes; let the mixture gradually return to room temperature and then place the container in the refrigerator.
- You can wait a few hours or even all night.
- If you have decided to pour the liquid into an aluminum pan, you can discard the excess water once the mixture has become cold.
Step 10. Drain the water
When the butter is cold and has reached room temperature, it should be solid again; in this state, it should have surfaced leaving water at the bottom of the container.
- Pour the water and keep the fat. You can use a colander or, if you have poured the mixture into the aluminum pan, drill a hole in the base.
- The butter is ready to be used for the preparation of chocolate cookies or to replace the regular one in your favorite recipe. For example, if the instructions indicate a dose of 100g of traditional butter, you can use 100g of cannabutter.
Part 2 of 2: Making the Marijuana Chocolate Chip Cookies
Step 1. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda
Weigh 250 g of flour, add a pinch of salt and baking soda and transfer everything to a large bowl; use a whisk or fork to mix the ingredients. Set the dry mixture aside.
Step 2. Work the sugar with the cannabutter until creamy
Weigh 100g of marijuana butter, add 130g of brown sugar and 60g of granulated sugar, mixing with a hand mixer until the ingredients turn into a creamy and fluffy mixture.
Check that the cannabutter is at room temperature before processing it
Step 3. Add the vanilla extract and an egg
Incorporate 10 ml of flavoring and an egg in the mixture of butter and sugar, always using the whisk to mix the ingredients.
Step 4. Add the chocolate chips
Take 200g of chopped chocolate or small drops and mix it with the liquid ingredients using a spatula or spoon; make sure it is well distributed in the batter.
Step 5. Incorporate the flour
To complete the mixture, you have to sift the powdered ingredients into the liquid ones; then add the flour, salt and baking soda, stirring with a spoon or spatula until a uniform mixture is obtained.
Step 6. Transfer the batter by spoonfuls to the baking sheet
Cover a baking tray with parchment paper or grease it with vegetable oil. Arrange the balls of dough on the baking sheet, so that they are evenly spaced.
- To make large cookies, transfer 60 g of dough at a time.
- If you want to make biscuits, place a spoonful of mixture on the baking tray at a time.
Step 7. Cook the treats
If you have opted for the small ones, leave them in the oven for 10-12 minutes at 190 ° C. If you prefer a chewy texture, limit the cooking to 10 minutes; if you love crunchy cookies more, wait up to 12 minutes.
