Have you ever wondered how to become a werewolf in Skyrim? As a werewolf, you will be able to perform melee attacks with claws and run on all fours. This article will show you how!
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Becoming a Werewolf
Step 1. Join the Companions
Go to Whiterun, the city directly north of Riverwood, and enter the Companions. You can meet Aela the Huntress just outside the city for more information or you can go directly to Jorrvaskr (the mead hall in Whiterun that serves as the Companions' headquarters) and speak to Kodlak Whitemane to enter.
-
You should find Kodlak in the main hall room the first time you enter it. However, if you don't see him or you entered Jorrvaskr earlier without entering the Companions, you can find him in the quarters.
-
You will need to duel with Vilkas and run some errands as part of your initiation. Get ready, because you won't be able to use magic or an enchanted weapon during the fight with Vilkas.
Step 2. Perform a random mission
It is a simple mission that can take many forms. Generally you will get them from Aela or Vilkas.
Step 3. Complete the Dustman's Cairn dungeon
Talk to Skojor. He will send you on a mission with Vilkas to obtain the fragment of a legendary battle ax. The dungeon containing this fragment is full of draugr, so be prepared very well. Follow Vilkas and the mission will update when you complete the dungeon. You will then need to meet Vilkas in front of Jorrvaskr to be officially accepted into the Companions and get close to becoming a werewolf.
Step 4. Perform another random mission
Follow the same procedure as described above.
Step 5. Meet Skojor
Once the random mission is complete, you will need to talk to Skojor. He will ask you to meet him at night. Do it and follow all the directions.
Step 6. Become a werewolf
Activate the fountain when prompted and you will become a werewolf. Complete additional Companion Quests or just enjoy your new powers.
Method 2 of 2: After Becoming a Werewolf
Step 1. Use the spell menu to activate your power
You will only be able to transform once per day (unless you have the Ring of Hircine) the Form of the Beast will only last for 150 seconds. Select it from the powers menu and you can activate it in a similar way to Screams.
