Have you installed Python 2.7 or 3.1 on your computer and want to learn how to program with this language? The default font size of the Python shell (the command prompt) is so small that working for a long time your eyes may be adversely affected. This article explains how to increase the Python shell font size.
Steps
Step 1. Start the Python shell
Go to the "Start" menu and select the corresponding icon or double-click the shortcut visible on your computer desktop. The Python shell window will appear.
Step 2. Click on the "Options" menu
It is located on the menu bar that you find at the top of the shell window. At this point click on "Configure IDLE". A new dialog will appear.
Step 3. Change the Phyton shell font size
Within the "Fonts / Tabs" tab of the new window that appeared, you will have the possibility to change the size of the characters displayed within the Phyton shell, together with the possibility of changing the font type. Please refer to the "Base Font Editor" box.
