This article shows you how to change Snapchat's privacy settings so that only users on your friends list can communicate with you, receive your snaps, and view your "Story".
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Snapchat app
It features a yellow ghost icon.
If you haven't signed in to your Snapchat account yet, you will be prompted to do so now
Step 2. Swipe your finger across the screen from top to bottom
Do this while the main screen of the app is displayed, the one where the view taken by the front camera of the device is shown. This will give you access to the Snapchat profile page.
Step 3. Press the ⚙ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen. This way you will have access to the account settings.
Step 4. Scroll down the menu that appeared to locate and select the Contact me item located in the "Who can."

Step 5. Choose the My Friends option
In this way you will be sure that only the users registered among your friends will be able to contact you by sending you video snapshots and images, via chat or video call.
When someone who isn't on your friends list sends you a snap, you'll be notified of the event. If you decide to add her to the list, you will be able to view her message
Step 6. Press the <button to return to the Snapchat Settings menu
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 7. Select the "View My Story" item
It is located in the "Who can…" section.
Step 8. Choose the My Friends option
In this way you will be sure that only the users registered among your friends will be able to view the posts you publish in your "Story".
Alternatively, you can choose the "Customize" option to create a list of friends who will have access to the contents of the "My Story" section
Step 9. Press the <button to return to the Snapchat Settings menu
It is located in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 10. Select the "Show me in Quick Add" option
It is located in the "Who can…" section.
Step 11. Uncheck the "Show me in Quick Add" checkbox (if you are using an iOS device, move its slider to the left to disable it)
It will take on a white color. This way you will not appear in the "Quick Add" section of your friends' friends.
