This article explains how to tag someone in a group conversation on WhatsApp using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device
The icon is represented by a green dialogue bubble with a white telephone handset inside it. It is located in the application menu.
Step 2. Select a group chat
If you don't see the group you were looking for, you can search by name. Press the magnifying glass icon at the top of the screen, then type the group name. You will be able to select it from the search results.
Step 3. Click on Write a message
This option is located in the text box at the bottom of the chat.
Step 4. Tap the? 123 button on the keyboard
This key is located at the bottom left of the keyboard.
If you don't see it, look for the "@" or "@ 123" key instead
Step 5. Press the @ button
The list of group members will appear.
Step 6. Select a group member
You may need to scroll through the list to find the right person. The user's name will appear after the "@" symbol in the text box.

Step 7. Click on the submit button
The icon looks like a white paper airplane and is located on the right side of the text box. The tag (s) will then appear in the group chat.
