This article explains how to update Safari. For example, to perform the procedure on a Mac, click on "App Store" → Click on "Updates" → Search for system update → Click on the "Update" option.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Desktop
Step 1. Open Spotlight
The icon looks like a magnifying glass and is located at the top right.
Step 2. Type "App Store"
The icon looks like a white A on a light blue background.
Step 3. Press Enter
Step 4. Click Updates
It is located at the top of the App Store window.
Step 5. Search for system update
It will likely include the phrase "OS X Update".
Safari updates will not appear because they belong to system updates
Step 6. Click Update
It is located next to the system update.
Step 7. Click Update All (optional)
It is located at the top right of the App Store window.
This procedure allows you to update all other programs that have an update available
Method 2 of 2: iOS
Step 1. Put the device to charge
This will prevent it from turning off during the update.
Step 2. Open the "Settings" application
The icon looks like a gray gear and is located on the main screen of the device.
Step 3. Tap Wi-Fi
Step 4. Tap the Wi-Fi Enable button
It is located next to the Wi-Fi option.
If the button is green, then Wi-Fi is on
Step 5. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to
At this point you will see a check mark next to the network.
Step 6. Tap the button to go back
It is located in the upper left.
Step 7. Tap General
Next to this option you will see a gray gear icon.
Step 8. Tap Software Update
If you see a circle containing a number next to Software Update, a program update is available.
If you don't see the circle, iOS or Safari cannot be updated
Step 9. Tap Download and Install
Step 10. Tap Accept
Step 11. Tap Continue
Once the download is complete, the device will restart.
