Pop-up windows can get really boring while you are browsing the web using your internet browser. Pop-up windows can even occupy the entire screen, preventing you from enjoying the contents of the page you are viewing. Fortunately, if you are using a web browser like Firefox, you have the option to block popup windows from appearing. This tutorial shows the steps to follow.
Steps
Step 1. Open Firefox
Double-click the Firefox icon on your desktop. Alternatively, select the Firefox icon on the Windows taskbar.

Step 2. Access the Firefox main menu by pressing the button in the upper right corner of the browser characterized by three horizontal lines
The settings panel will appear.
Step 3. Select the 'Options' icon
Step 4. Select the 'Contents' tab within the panel that appeared
Step 5. Turn off the display of pop-ups
Select the 'Block pop-up windows' checkbox. This way Firefox will block all popup windows while you are browsing the web.
