Have you ever wondered how to look like one of your favorite vampires (maybe Alice, or Bella - when she becomes immortal, or Edward) from the Twilight series? After reading this article, you will have a clearer idea of how to achieve this.
Steps
Step 1. Walk faster than usual, but don't overdo it
Walk with elegance and nonchalance.
Step 2. Apply a foundation two shades lighter than your natural skin color
Not too much, otherwise people will notice it and either way, it will give you a ridiculously fake look. So use it with caution. Give it to even and smooth the skin. The skin of the Cullens is described as flawless. Another good way to look pale is to apply sun lotion and massage it. It will make you look paler and block your tan. The problem in this case will be the smell.
Step 3. The Cullens are vegetarians, and their eyes are black and gold
Purchase contact lenses of this shade on the net or from an optician. Non-corrective contact lenses must be approved by a doctor. Otherwise, it becomes illegal and you risk going blind. Consult an optician to learn the correct procedure for using them to prevent possible damage to your eyes. You can find Twilight-inspired (and very realistic) lenses by visiting the site: youknowit.com.
Step 4. Vampires have been around for a long time, so their style is classic
Neutral colors, such as navy, dark brown, black, gray, or white are fine, but clothes with light or very dark shades are also suitable. The important thing is not to wear too brightly colored clothes. Think 1920s, or Victorian, dresses and you'll be on the right track. Don't dress normally. The Cullen era, the Victorian one, was characterized by the little use of color and the richness of materials (silk, cotton, satin, velvet).
Step 5. Refer to the books to find clothes to inspire you
In the great party told in the novel Eclipse there are precise details on the clothes worn by some of the characters and, in any case, Stephenie Meyer describes the clothes very often in her books related to the saga.
Step 6. Vampires have skin that is cold and "pale as death", but if your hands are always warm or tanned, it doesn't matter
For some, it is enough to stay in the cold for a while for the skin to lose it adapts to the temperature. If that's not your case, it doesn't matter.
Step 7. Whiten your teeth
Vampires have perfectly white teeth.
Step 8. Keep your skin clean with a good diet (no blemishes)
Step 9. Vampires can run very fast
So if you are a fast runner you will increase credibility. If you are slow, avoid running if anyone can see you.
Step 10. Clench your fists and open your eyes wide when someone approaches you
This is how Vampires react when they are hungry.
Step 11. The Cullens are flawless students, so study to be prepared and intelligent
No member of the Cullen family is a fool.
Step 12. You can try giving your skin a touch of glitter
Do this when you know that you are about to go out and that the sun will reflect on your skin. If the shimmer is faint, add a little glitter. If the result is too sparkling, however, you can use petroleum jelly for the lips and spread it on the face and around the eyes.
Advice
- Never tremble as if you are cold or freezing. Vampires have a very low body temperature, so they are used to the cold like reptiles.
- Pay attention to everything around you - listen and see everything, be an observer.
- Remember this is a guide to looking like a Twilight vampire. If you want to look like another vampire, perhaps Goth-style, look for instructions for a normal vampire.
- When you eat in a canteen, do it only if no one sees you … but eat! (Twilight Vampires don't eat at all).
- If you are sitting in class or somewhere, try not to fidget but scratch, lick your lips … The Cullens explain to Bella that these things can be done in the company of humans to integrate better. Vampires usually sit still and never fidget, they don't need to.
- DO NOT paint your face white with face paint hoping to look pale like the Cullens !!!
- Remember to always appear mysterious and a little elusive but also be mildly shy.
- Act like you have a gift. Edward can read minds, so always act as if you are listening to other people's conversations. Alice can know the future, so she reveals to people events that have not yet happened. Jasper can control emotions so take it easy when things get tense, ease tensions, etc.
- If you want to lighten your skin, put a little baking soda in the water before taking a bath and soak for a while.
- Always observe others. If they look at you, don't be afraid to stare at them for a while and then slowly return your gaze to something else.
- Don't overdo the foundation when you apply it. Remember you want to look pale, not discolored!
- When you meet someone, be calm and speak little, as Jasper and Edward did when they first met Bella.
- If you wear black or dark clothes, you will look pale. The Cullens wear light colors, remember that. You must be really pale.
- Don't sound sleepy. If you stay at a friend's house, wake up early making them think you haven't slept and keep your hair and makeup always perfect. If you want natural dark circles under your eyes, stay late, but don't stay awake completely depriving yourself of sleep! It would seriously damage your health, your senses and your ability to stay alert (remember: you are just trying to look and act like a vampire, but you are not !!!). Twilight Vampires have great reflexes and are always on the alert. A better way to get dark circles is not wiping off eyeliner. It will fall under the eyes, giving the illusion that you have deep dark circles. Don't do it with glitter or colored eyeliner.
- Fix your gaze. Star at people until they feel uncomfortable. Gaze at an object as long as you can and try not to blink.
- Move quickly and lightly. Do dance or some other activity to be more graceful but also fast. Karate works too.
- Wear light colors if you want to be less eye-catching so your pale skin tone won't contrast too much with your clothes. If you go out in the sun, wear something with long sleeves and pants and add something that makes your skin glow (optional).
- Have fun!
- Do historical research, but be honest. Remember that you are not a real vampire, you are just trying to look like one.
- If you live in a sunny place, you may encounter some difficulties. You don't have to move to Forks or anywhere else, just take that into account for everything to work.
- For your hair to look like a vampire's, the parting in the middle and wavy hair are perfect. For women, romantic waves like Rosalie Hale and Esme Cullen, or long, straight hair like Bella Swan (later Cullen), or long, curly and wild like the nomad Victoria are perfect. Short curly or wavy hair is also ideal and don't forget an irregular cut like Alice Cullen's.
- Wear simple but expensive clothes. If you can't spend a lot, you can buy imitations or clothes that are apparently expensive, but expensive clothes are better. Vampires have a classic and expensive look. Choose elegant clothes. Ralph Lauren, Vinard vines, BCBG and other similar stylists are perfect.
Warnings
- If you want to try and imitate Edward Cullen, don't damage your friends' car engines. You would force them to report you. Even telling them how easily you could break their fragile human bones is not a good idea.
- Don't tell everyone you're a vampire! They would think you are weird.
- You can use fake canines, but no larger than 1-2 centimeters or you will look totally fake.
- Twilight Vampires have no pronounced canines, so don't wear them !!!
