Throwing small pieces of food in the air and being able to catch them with your mouth is a nice trick. Popcorn is perfect, but other foods, such as M & M's, lend themselves well too,
Steps
Step 1. Get a piece of the food you are interested in, for example popcorn or others
Step 2. Hold the piece in your hand
Step 3. Keep your elbow tightly around your waist
Step 4. Raise your arm along with your hand, still keeping your elbow close to your waist (like a hinge)
Meanwhile, quickly snap your hand upwards, so as to throw the piece of food high enough.
Step 5. Lift your head, following the piece of food with your eyes
Move a little in case the food goes a little out of the expected trajectory.
Step 6. Push your lips to cover your teeth to protect them
Some people have chipped a tooth with a candy. It's not funny!
Step 7. Put your tongue at the bottom of your mouth and open your jaw as little as possible to prevent food from falling straight down your throat
This isn't a funny thing either.
Step 8. Move your head so that the food appears to land on the tip of the nose
If the timing is correct, pull your head and neck back without widening your jaws, then just move your torso and shoulders back together with your head. If all went well, you should have been able to catch the piece of food on the fly! Good job!
Step 9. Finished
Advice
- Do not try to catch very hard objects such as ice.
- Try to catch food with your mouth and not throw it in, it's not basketball, it's something like baseball.
- Beginners should use soft food, such as mashed potato balls or grapes.
- Always keep yourself trained with timing and movements. When you think you can do it all without fail, you will really be able to impress your friends!
- Make sure you protect your teeth with your lips.
Warnings
- When you train for the first few times, make sure that someone is next to you in case the piece of food gets into your throat. We don't want anyone to risk their skin!
- Before attempting to complete this test of throwing a giant object into the mouth, make sure you can follow this technique well.
- Don't try to catch barbecue ribs or chicken legs on the fly!
