This article shows you how to cancel a PayPal service subscription or automatic payment using the PayPal web platform.
Steps
Step 1. Access the PayPal website using the internet browser on your computer or mobile device
Since it is not possible to manage this aspect of PayPal using the mobile app, you will need to use an internet browser (such as Firefox, Chrome or Safari) to access the website of the platform.
If you do not have a PayPal account, to cancel your subscription or automatic payment you will need to contact the company with which you have subscribed the service you are paying for directly
Step 2. Click the Login button
It is located in the upper right corner of the main page of the PayPal site.
Step 3. Log in using your account's security username and password
If you have forgotten your profile username or password, click on the link Having trouble logging in? and follow the instructions that appear on the screen
Step 4. Click on the gear icon
It is located in the upper right corner of the page.
If you are using a mobile device, you will need to press the button first Menu located in the upper left corner of the screen to display the gear icon.
Step 5. Click on the Payments tab
It is displayed inside the blue bar at the top of the screen (slightly offset to the left from the center).
Step 6. Click on Manage your automatic payments
It is located in the "Automatic payments" section.
Step 7. Select the automatic payment you want to cancel
If in the "Merchant" column of the automatic payments table you do not find the name of the service or company for which you want to cancel the payment, it means that it is no longer active or that the payment is not made through the PayPal account. In this case, please contact the customer service of the company in question directly to cancel your subscription
Step 8. Click the Cancel button
It is displayed at the top of the page.
Step 9. Click the Cancel Profile button to confirm
In this way, the next scheduled payment and all subsequent payments relating to the service or subscription in question will be canceled.
