This article explains how to prevent your Android smartphone from automatically downloading MMS. After disabling automatic message download, you can manually choose which MMS to delete and which to open to view its content.
Steps
Step 1. Launch the Messages app on your Android device
It is characterized by a blue circle inside which a white balloon is visible. You can find it in the "Applications" panel.
Step 2. Press the ⋮ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Choose the Settings item from the menu that appeared
A new app configuration settings screen will appear.
Step 4. Scroll down the appeared menu and select the Advanced option
It is located at the bottom of the "Settings" menu.
Step 5. Turn off the MMS Auto Retrieve slider moving it to the left
After deactivating the indicated option, multimedia messages will no longer be automatically downloaded to your device.
