Caring for dry facial skin can be challenging. Dehydrated and cracked skin can make us feel uncomfortable around people. Follow the tips in the article to be able to properly treat the skin on your face.
Steps
Step 1. Look at your skin
Does it seem uniformly dry or does it appear dehydrated only in one or more specific areas?
Step 2. In the first case, use a gentle face scrub
Gently exfoliate dry, dehydrated areas using your fingertips. Before starting, moisten your face with warm water to help dilate the pores.
Step 3. If you wish, you can create your own exfoliating make-up product using sugar and honey
Simply mix small amounts of both ingredients. In proportion, use more sugar than honey to ensure effective exfoliation.
Step 4. Alternatively, use a clean cloth dampened in warm water
Step 5. Rinse your face skin and pat it dry to help improve moisture retention
Step 6. Apply a generous amount of moisturizer to cleansed face skin
Do not rub the skin hard to reduce the presence of cracking.
Step 7. If you prefer, you can use petroleum jelly or a quality vegetable oil
Step 8. Drink lots of water
Maybe your body is trying to send you a message: 'I'm dehydrated!'
Advice
- Use a scrub for delicate skin, with fine grains.
- Check the color of your urine, if it tends to dark yellow there is a good chance that you are dehydrated.
- Do not exfoliate the skin aggressively so as not to irritate it further.
