This method gives a soft lip balm.
Step 1. Put the Vaseline in a small microwave-safe bowl
Use as much as you like (at least one tablespoon and up to four tablespoons).
Step 2. Add the color of your choice
Slowly add it until you get the shade you want.
Optional: Make several lip balms of various colors. Clean up a small (children's) makeup palette and use it to style the different colored lip balms
Step 3. Mix very well
If it's not well blended it won't work.
Step 4. Put the ingredients in the microwave
Operate for no more than 10 seconds. The mixture should not dissolve, just become soft and warm.
Step 5. Place the slightly softened lip balm in an old lip balm container or jar
Step 6. Freeze for 25 minutes
It is now ready to use.
Step 7. Enjoy your new lip balm
Method 3 of 4: Lip Balm with Lipstick or Eyeshadow
Step 1. Melt the Vaseline in the microwave
Step 2. Take it out of the microwave
Add some lipstick or eyeshadow of your favorite color.
- You can mix various colors.
- The color will appear lighter on the lips.
- We recommend the pinks and reds; other colors, such as blues and greens, will be lighter.
Step 3. Stir with a spoon until the ingredients blend well
Step 4. Put them in a suitable container
Step 5. Freeze or refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes
Step 6. Enjoy your personalized lip balm

Make sure the container is microwave safe.
Step 2. Open a tube of lipstick
Cut about half of the lipstick and mix it with Vaseline to create a pasty mixture.
Step 3. Sprinkle some glitter on it
For an even more sparkling result, put some glitter in the mixture.
Step 4. Microwave for 20 seconds
Use a fork to make sure the ingredients are well blended. Put it in a container.
Step 5. Freeze for one hour
This way the lip gloss will solidify.
Step 6. Take it out of the freezer
Once the lip gloss is at room temperature you can use it!
Advice
- Use the original Vaseline. Other types of petroleum jelly, such as baby petroleum jelly, may have ingredients that you may be allergic to.
- If you are not satisfied with the shine of the lip gloss on your lips, try applying a layer of clear lip gloss.
- Don't use your favorite lipstick the first time you try lip balm, or you risk wasting it if you don't like the result. Instead, use a cheap lipstick or one you have extra.
- Do you want a more resistant lip balm? Instead of Vaseline, use cocoa butter that you find in a pharmacy or herbalist's shop.
- Get some petroleum jelly, it works better than jars.
