If you have decided to make your own lip balm, you most likely need a container to store it in. Although it is possible to buy one in perfumery, creating your own container using used plastic bottles will make your product even more unique, and economical.
Steps
Step 1. Wash the bottle carefully and then cut it out and remove the section of the cap (see the picture as a guideline)
Before continuing, make sure the bottle is completely dry
Step 2. Create the base of the container
Cut out a sheet of hard plastic, creating a square-shaped piece. Now glue it to the bottom of the cap to create the base of your container. Wait for the glue to dry completely.
For now, don't shape the base of the container
Step 3. Wait for the glue to dry, about 10-15 minutes
Test the result of your work by inserting a finger into the container and gently pushing the base down. Make sure it does not flex, remaining flat and in place, and that it is perfectly glued to the cap at all points.
If necessary, add more glue to run for cover, and let it dry patiently
Step 4. You can now shape the base of your container to remove excess plastic
Simply follow the outline of the cap, getting as close to the sides as possible. Now the base of your container is ready to hold the lip balm.
Step 5. Open the cap
Transfer your lip balm to your new container.
