Method 1 of 4: Method One: A Realistic Female Portrait

Step 1. Draw a circle for the head

Step 2. Draw two lines, one on the right and one on the left, respectively, which meet in an open triangle

Step 3. Draw a curved line connecting the ends of the circle to the bottom tip

Step 4. Draw a vertical line dividing the figure in half
Draw two sets of parallel lines at the bottom of the circle.

Step 5. Using the guidelines, draw the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth in their appropriate positions

Step 6. Draw the boundary lines

Step 7. Draw the woman's hair, neck and shoulders - use curved lines

Step 8. Trace with a pen and erase unnecessary lines

Method 2 of 4: Method Two: A Realistic Male Portrait

Step 1. Draw a circle for the head

Step 2. Draw a vertical line in the center that extends out of the circle
Draw a horizontal line inside the circle at the bottom. Draw two parallel lines of different lengths under the circle.

Step 3. Draw a triangle using the ends of the sides of the circle and the tip of the line in the middle as vertices

Step 4. Draw curved lines connecting the circle to the tip of the triangle

Step 1. Draw a large vertical oval

Step 2. Make a vertical dividing line and join it to a horizontal line that passes through it by touching the edges of the oval to make guide points for the eyes and nose

Step 3. Make a couple of small lines for the nose and mouth

Step 4. Add a small horizontal oval, one on each side of the head for the ears

Step 5. Make symmetrical lines for the eyebrows

Step 6. Create leaf-like shapes on both sides for the eye shapes

Step 7. Make the lip guide stitches by joining the top of a three-line triangle at the bottom

Step 8. Make the eyeballs inside the eyes

Step 9. Draw the outline of the hair

Step 10. Based on the guide points, draw portrait details

Step 11. Erase all sketched guidelines

Step 1. Make an oval

Step 2. Draw a vertical bisector line extending out of the circle. Draw another horizontal line that passes through the center and whose ends touch the left and right sides of the oval

Step 4. Connect the jaw and chin with straight lines

Step 5. Make two symmetrical lines for the eyebrows

Step 8. Make a small horizontal line just below the nose for the mouth
