It's easy to make flashcards, but you need to know the process. This article will show you how!
Steps
Step 1. Make sure you have free space to work in
Look for a well-lit work area, away from distractions and with everything you need ready.
Step 2. Consider using specific software
Step 3. Put the textbook and flash cards together
Bookmark the pages with the necessary information and read them.
Step 4. Highlight the most important information
If you can't write in your textbook, write notes on a small piece of paper. Read them for reinforcement in your mind.
Step 5. Write short, concise notes
Write in bright colors and try to use a code for the keywords: for example, "Reaction Time" might change to "TR", to make it easier to remember.
Step 6. Make sure your writing is large, clear and well spaced
If your handwriting is small, you will not be able to read it easily and you will not be able to decipher it if it is too thick. Writing clearly will allow you to easily read your notes.
Step 7. Use diagrams
By making diagrams and labeling them, you will learn the content of the diagram, in case you need it for an exam.
Advice
- With the use of colors you will attract the eyes to that keyword.
- Rewrite the same card several times, making the notes shorter, until you have the minimum amount of notes to remember.
- Make sure the colors you use represent the different topics.
Warnings
- Make sure your notes are short.
- Write clearly and well spaced to make reading easy.
- Don't waste paper.
- Do not use too many colors: 3 - 4 at the most.
