Method 1 of 3: The Basics
Step 1. Create an inexpensive family and home
You can build it or buy it.
Step 2. The family must live in a house which they can afford
Step 3. Press Shift, Ctrl (control) and C
A "cheat box" will appear, with tricks to use while playing. You will see a white text bar appear at the top of the screen.
Method 2 of 3: Easy Methods
Step 1. Write the following codes in the text bar
Each of them will give you a different amount of money.
- motherlode = $ 50,000
- kaching = $ 1,000
- familyFunds is a code that only works if you have installed the “Nightlife” package. He will give the chosen family as much money as they want. For example you can write “Johnson familyFunds 250000”. Doing so will give 250,000 simoleons (in-game money) to the Johnson family. The maximum money you can claim is 9,999,999 simoleons. This trick doesn't force you to have a home.
Method 3 of 3: Alternative System
Step 1. You can also try this alternative method:
- Bring up the text bar where you can enter the cheat codes.
- Type “boolprop testingcheatenabled true” (without the quotes), then hit enter.
- Press SHIFT + CLICK on a Sim.
- Click on spawn …, then blackberries… and finally Sim Modder (the icon looks like a standing baby).
- Click on "Sim Modder".
- Click on the career rewards - all (or instead of "all" you can choose even one Sim).
- Go to career awards.
- Search for the counterfeit machine (found only in The Sims 3 University expansion) and place it on your lawn.
- Use it, unless you have big aspirations!
- Wait a few seconds, then click the “action icon” in the upper left corner, so that the Sim stops.
- Have fun with the money you earn!
Advice
- When you have enough money, move house, and look for a bigger one.
- If you don't initially have a lot of money and don't have a home, add a small plot of land and call it “Money Lot”. Then take your family to the lot to earn 5,000 Simoleons.
- These tricks will help you pay your Sim taxes.
- The money cheats on The Sims 2 are mutually exclusive; then the “familyFunds” cheat will cancel the money obtained with the "motherlode" code. The way cheats work in The Sims 2 is different than in The Sims 1, where the cheat money adds up.
- Go to Change City and click on Transfer Family. Hunt the family when you have the money and a house.
- You don't need a job if you use cheats.
