This article explains how to summon the Ender Dragon in Minecraft after defeating it. You can do this in all versions of the game, returning to the End.
Steps
Step 1. Meet the prerequisites
To summon the Ender Dragon in Minecraft, you must have already killed it once and you must have a portal available to return to the End.
Step 2. Gather the necessary resources
You need the following ingredients to summon the dragon:
- 4 Pearls of the End: Kill the Endermen, from which you can usually get 1-2 End Pearls.
- 2 Rods of Blaze: Kill the blazes in the Nether, from which you can get 1-2 rods.
- 4 Tears of Ghast: kill the ghasts, from which you can get the tears.
- 28 Glass blocks: You can make them by melting sand blocks in a furnace.
Step 3. Open the workbench
Select it to open the creation interface.
Step 4. Make blaze powder
Place two blaze rods in the center box of the crafting grid, press or click on the four blaze dust units, then drag them to your inventory.
In console versions, scroll down to the "Food" tab, select the blaze dust icon, then press TO or X.
Step 5. Create four End eyes
Place the four End Pearls in the center box of the workbench and the four Blaze Dust units in the center box of the left column, then move the End Eyes into your inventory.
On console, scroll to the "Tools and Weapons" tab, select the clock icon, scroll down to the End eye icon, then press TO or X four times.
Step 6. Make four End Crystals
Put the four eyes of the End in the middle box, the four ghast tears in the middle box of the lowest row, and four glass blocks in each of the remaining boxes. When the purple icon of the End crystal appears, move it to your inventory.
In console versions, scroll down to the "Mechanisms" tab, select the End crystal icon, then press TO or X.
Step 7. Go back to the End
Go through the End portal to re-enter that dimension. If you don't have a portal available, you need to create another end eye and use it to search for a portal.
Step 8. Place the End Crystals
Looking at the base of the pedestal, you should notice four distinct edges. Place the crystals on top of the center block on each side.
If you built an earth block scaffold, destroy it before completing this step
Step 9. Wait for the dragon to return
Once the End Crystals are placed, the dragon will be summoned in about 20 seconds and you can fight it again.
