The Diamond Camouflage is a hidden feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops II that allows you to customize the game's weapons. With the diamond camouflage, parts of the weapon that are normally covered in a camouflage are covered in a shimmering diamond texture, and the exposed parts are gilded. It is not difficult to unlock this hidden feature, but it will undoubtedly take some time before you can do it.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Complete the Requirements
Step 1. Unlock all weapons of a particular class
Play and make sure you have unlocked all the weapons in a class.
- You can only unlock weapons when your character reaches a certain level (like the R870 MCS, which you can only use when you reach level 4).
- Complete missions and play multiplayer matches to continue earning experience points (XP) and level up faster.
Step 2. Unlock the Gold camouflage for every weapon in a class
The Diamond camouflage becomes available the moment you unlock the Gold camouflage. Gold is the last camouflage you can unlock once you have completed all the challenges for each weapon. To unlock the Gold camouflage for a given class, you will need to:
- Unlock the low-level camouflages of every weapon, from DEVGRU to Kryptek Typhon. To unlock these camos, you will need to eliminate a certain number of enemies using the weapon you want to unlock the camouflage for.
- Unlock intermediate level camouflages, from Carbon Fiber to Skulls. To unlock these camouflages, you need to get medals. You can receive medals when you perform special moves, such as the Revenge medal, which is awarded to you when you kill an enemy who killed you first.
- Note that each weapon has its own specific requirements in terms of medals and kill streaks. However, the unlocking rules are always the same.
Part 2 of 2: Customizing Your Weapon
Step 1. Go to the Weapons menu
When you have obtained the Gold camouflage for each weapon in a class, you will unlock the Diamond camouflage for that class. Go to the main menu and select "Create a class" from the options. The Weapons screen will open.
Step 2. Choose a weapon class
On the Weapons screen, you will be asked to choose a class. Use the arrow keys to choose the class to view, and the Weapon Class screen will open.
On the Weapon Class screen, scroll sideways and choose a weapon. Once your weapon is selected, press the "Customize Weapon" button to start configuring it
Step 3. Customize your weapon with the Diamond camouflage
On the Customize screen, click the "Camouflage" tab in the upper left section of the screen to view all the different camouflages you can use. Scroll down, and next to the Gold camouflage, you'll see the new “Diamond” camouflage.
