This article explains how to fake your location to access other Netflix content.
Steps
Step 1. Search for a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service
Connecting to a VPN allows you to hide your real location on Netflix. To learn how to choose one and install the software, read this article.
- When setting up the VPN, select a country where you can view the content you want to see. For example, if you want to watch a movie that is only available in the United States, select this country.
- Although many VPN applications are free, most of them incur costs if advanced features are used, such as specifying the location.
Step 2. Connect to your VPN
The steps vary depending on the operating system.
Step 3. Go to https://www.netflix.com in a browser
At this point you will be able to view content that is only available in the country configured in your VPN settings.
- When you browse Netflix from a different country, the address bar adds the country abbreviation to the end of the URL. For example, if you are browsing from the Philippines, the following URL will appear:
- If you set up the VPN in Italy, you will not see any code at the end of the URL, so even if you are in the Philippines, the address will still be the following:
