Every Facebook user knows some people that they have to accept as friends only out of social obligation, even if they don't like their posts that crowd the notifications section daily. Fortunately, the social network allows you to politely get away from these cyber-friends by deactivating the "Follow" function or by adding their profile to the "Acquaintances" list. Remember that these people are still able to read and comment on your posts, but you won't be forced to see theirs anymore.
Steps
Method 1 of 5: Stop Following a Friend
Step 1. Open the Facebook page
The easiest way to free the news section from the posts of a boring friend is to access their profile and deactivate the "Follow already" function; this is a similar option to "mute" a Twitter account.

It is located at the top of the screen. If he has recently posted something, you can click on his name directly from the news section; both of these operations lead back to your profile page.

It should be to the right of the name.
If you are browsing from a mobile application, the button is located under your name and profile photo
