VLC is a media player available for different platforms, and it also provides player functionality for streaming content. This tutorial teaches you how to use VLC to listen to a web radio.
Steps

Step 1. Launch VLC
This is the most important step of the whole procedure.
Method 1 of 2: Direct Connect

Step 1. Access the 'Media' drop-down menu

Step 2. Select the 'Open Network Stream' item

Step 3. Type your source URL into the 'Enter a Network URL' field

Step 4. Press the 'Play' button when finished
Method 2 of 2: Choose a Radio Station from the Presets

Step 1. Go to the 'View' menu and select the 'Playlist' item

Step 2. Look at the 'Internet' section
It should be the last item in the list that appeared on the left of the GUI.

Step 3. You will find a list of streaming sources covering various items, such as web radio and internet TV
In our case we want to listen to a web radio, so select the item 'Icecast Radio Directory'.

Step 4. In the panel on the right of the graphical interface, an exhaustive list of web radios that can be listened to using VLC will appear

Step 5. Select the desired web radio icon to start streaming its programs
Alternatively, scroll through all the items on the list to locate a particular web radio.
