Steps
Method 1 of 2: Android
Step 1. After starting the WhatsApp application, press the 'Menu' button on your device
This will allow you to access the program settings.
Step 2. Find and select 'Chat Settings'
Step 3. Locate and select the 'Conversation Backup' item
WhatsApp will create a new backup of all your conversations.
Method 2 of 2: iPhone
Step 1. Use iCloud
Backing up to iPhone is very simple, as the iOS operating system allows you to use iCloud as a storage medium. WhatsApp will be backed up regularly, but images and videos will not be included as they would take up a large amount of space. Also you can manually backup your conversations.
Step 2. Access the WhatsApp 'Settings' menu, then select the 'Chat Settings' item
Step 3. Locate the 'Chat Backup' entry
You will find two options related to this item, relative to that of automatic backup it is recommended that the relative switch is on position '1'. This way WhatsApp will back up regularly. The second option is 'Back up now' and allows you to manually back up your data at any time.
