This article explains how to rotate a video from portrait to landscape mode on an Android device.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Auto Rotation
Step 1. Open the Android settings
The icon
located on the home screen or in the app drawer.
Step 2. Scroll down and tap Accessibility
It is located in the section titled "System".
Step 3. Scroll down and slide your finger on the "Auto Rotate" button to activate it
The button will turn blue, so the screen will automatically rotate when you tilt the device to the side.
Step 4. Play a video
You can open it with any application, such as the device's preset player (which changes depending on the mobile or tablet) or VLC Player.
Step 5. Rotate your mobile or tablet
The video will rotate along with the device.
Method 2 of 2: Using a Video Player
Step 1. Open the device's file manager application
It is usually called "File manager", "File" or "File manager".
Step 2. Open the video
You will find it in the folder where you saved it. Look for it in the "Download" folder if you downloaded it from the web.
Look for the folder called "extSdCard" or "sdcard0" if it is on a memory card
Step 3. Tap the video
It will then open with the specific device application for video playback.
Step 4. Tap the button to rotate the video
If the app has the screen rotation feature, you should see a mobile or tablet icon surrounded by a rounded arrow. Tapping it once should make the video rotate clockwise.
Step 5. Play the video
Once the video is playing, tilt the device to adapt it to the rotation of the video.
