Steps
Step 1. Look for infatuation
Don't look for a guy just because all your friends have him! Infatuations are the first place to look for a potential boyfriend. After all, "crushes" are based on thinking that someone is worthy of a date. And don't think of a celebrity as your boyfriend, because you will probably never go out with one of them (so forget the idea of a date with Justin Beiber or whoever is in your dreams). Try kids who are more familiar to you, like your neighbor's kid or a classmate.
Step 2. Make sure it's available
If he is dating someone else, it means that he is not available. He might tell his friends that it's not serious, but girls are much more sensitive and think that something like love is always serious. So ask his closest friends first if he's already with anyone, to avoid problems.
Step 3. Make friends with him
Get to know this guy before asking him out on a date. Find out what he likes, what he doesn't like, what he wants to do when he grows up, even his favorite TV show! Maybe you'll find you have something in common.
Plan to do group work together if you are in the same class. Do it with ease. You may find that there are things that both of you like or dislike, and group work is a great way to familiarize yourself with someone
