Many soccer dribbling tactics are designed to beat any opponent - feints, turns, cuts, and subtle tricks. To increase your football skills, practice until you master them.
Steps
Step 1. Do the "Stop & go"
For this move, the essential element is just a change of pace. Run at a moderate pace and the ball and chain to the stop. It is usually preferred to do this when the defender flanks you, then suddenly, as you are running, sprint to burn the opponent. You can also amplify the effect by briefly placing the sole of the shoe on the ball, stopping it, and then pushing it forward with the heel of your foot when you finish staging the fake shot. Look up at what your goal would be. To immobilize the defender, raise your leg as if you were going to kick. Push your leg as if you are going to make a pass or a shot, and then stop this movement just behind the ball. At this point you can move the ball left or right to prepare for your next play, since the defender thought you were going to kick.
Step 2. Try the "Cruijff Cut"
With the inside of your foot, cut the ball backwards by bringing it behind your body. Plant your left foot to the side of the ball, then bring your right foot over the ball to cut it backwards. If you move the ball backwards with your left foot, you do the opposite.
-
Sometimes this move can be combined with a fake shot. Discard a pass or shot in a large fake space, then cut the ball backwards with the inside of the foot you used to fake it. Then finish the dribble by running fast in the other direction.
-
Swing the ball forward and plant your right foot next to the ball while your left leg loads a great shot. However, instead of shooting, lower your right foot and "cut" the ball backward under your left leg.
Step 3. Do the "Scissor", also called "Butterfly Step"
Swing your right foot over the ball in an outward motion, and catch the ball with the outside of your left foot. If you do this move with the other foot, the movements are the same but reversed.
Step 4. Train with the "Inverted Step"
Bring your right foot around the top of the ball inward and plant your foot on the ground. While your foot is on the ground, kick the ball with the outside to the right. Always remember to increase the speed of the movements as soon as the feint is done - usually this is standing still; reverse the movement if you do it with the left. To make this feint faster, turn your foot as if you are slowly running backwards with the ball behind you or as if you are slowly running forward hitting the ball in front of you. Try to always keep the ball as close as possible.
Step 5. Try the "Double Step"
You can try this move if the defender doesn't get fooled with the first feint. Keep your right foot over the ball, then swing your left over the ball. Take the ball away with your right fielder - this is a double swing of each foot over the ball - and then sprint at full speed.
Step 6. Make a joke with the "Internal external"
Pretend as if you are going inward and then run outward. With the inside of your foot on the ball, bring it slightly inward (leaning in the direction you want the defender to think you are going). When the defender is unbalanced or otherwise not ready, push the ball outward with the outside of the foot, and dribble away at speed. Again, the change of pace is the essential key to all dribbling.
Step 7. Reverse the above for the "External internal"
Use the outside of the foot. This is usually more difficult because you don't have the same control with the outside of your foot in terms of the surface, so move the ball outwards for a shorter distance. Push the ball outward with just a couple of taps, then snap inward with the ball on the inside of the foot.
Step 8. Try the "Shoulder Feint"
Aim at the defender and pretend with your shoulder to move in one direction while swerving in the opposite direction. You're simply bending or dropping your shoulder in one direction just enough, while you snap in the opposite - hence the name "shoulder shake". Remember to touch the ball every time you make a move towards the defender to keep it close to you and have more control to move it to one side or the other. If you are dribbling with your right foot you will need to fake your right shoulder. Tap the ball towards your left foot as soon as you drop your shoulder to pretend.
Step 9. Perform the "Sole Tour"
Swing forward with your right foot and pull the ball back with the sole of your foot, sprinting in the opposite direction with a change of pace.
Step 10. "Bowl"
Challenge the defender to jump towards the ball, and lift the ball over his foot as soon as he lands on it. Usually this move is done while pretending to take one direction and instead bowl the ball in the opposite direction, right above the foot of the defender planted on the ground. You have to burn the opponent with a sprint as soon as you lift the ball above his foot. Often you will have to dish the ball over the defender's foot and towards your other foot so that your body will be between you and the defender once you make this move. Hold the ball on your right foot and dish it over the defender's foot and towards your left, so your body will be between the ball and the opponent. This move is usually done while practically standing still, with the defender running towards you and you scrub him by lifting the ball over his foot while he runs too fast.
Step 11. Do the "Support"
Lean to one side and bring the ball behind as if you were about to throw yourself. When the defender least expects it, shoot in the opposite direction to where you leaned. It is a move that is often done from standing still, trying to beat the opponent to make a cross or a shot.
Step 12. The "Deception"
Lure the defender to try to catch the ball, hand it to him as if he could steal it, and as soon as he makes a move to catch it, move it and sprint. Again a change of pace is essential to discard the opponent. This is why, when you train, you have to touch the ball every time you dribble, in order to accumulate great ball control to make these cuts to the side or back in a precise way, in order to attract., evade, demoralize and annoy opponents.
Step 13. Try "Nutmeg"
As you swerve, place your right foot on top of the ball, and when the defender heads for the ball, hit it with your left.
Step 14. Do a "Backhand"
Make a quick little touch to the right, and then one between the defender's spread legs or around him, then run to do a "backhand".
Step 15. Go "Behind the Foot"
Try this move when tackling the defender in front of you. With your right foot, take a firm half step to the right of the ball. The aim is for the opponent to attack you from the right. Bring the ball back with your right sole, and when it has passed your foot swing it behind your left and if you can push it forward. It is a move that works very well when done in speed.
Step 16. "Weight shift" the defender
With the right drag the ball from the right leg to the left, and with the left stop it from above, then sprint to the left. If you do this with a smooth movement, the defender will be weighted in the opposite direction.
Step 17. Try "Okocha" dribbling
Start with a forward flick, and place your right foot on the ball. Rotate 180 degrees to the left and pull the ball with your left to complete the rotation. You should have the defender behind you. Throw the ball back with the sole of the right over the left foot, near the inside of the big toe. If you raise your left knee at the same time, you will make the ball jump by lifting it off the ground about one meter. At this point, the rotation of 180 degrees to the left begins. Halfway through the rotation the ball should be at its highest point. Kick it with your right fielder and make it rise above your head and the opponent's, and finish the move by completing the rotation and sprinting with the left.
Step 18. Do the "Bicycle"
Kick the ball forward about 2 meters, run over it by placing one foot in front of it and using the other foot to catch it. Then lift your foot behind the ball and kick it up with the other foot. If you do this correctly, the ball will fly over your head and the defender's. Sprint around him and run to score. Warning: when you try to do the bicycle you will often make mistakes, so don't get downhearted! Try again until you succeed as if by a miracle!
Step 19. Do the "Elastic"
With the outside of your foot push the ball in one direction, then quickly pull it back with the inside of the same foot in the opposite direction.
Step 20. "Run around him
Make a low pass over the defender by passing the ball far enough away that he cannot intercept it, then quickly cut behind the opponent and retrieve the ball. It is essential to pass the ball to yourself by passing it around the defender !!
Step 21. "Heel-heel"
It is a fairly difficult move to make. During dribbling you have to touch the ball with the front foot, directing it towards the rear foot. Then you touch the ball forward again with the foot that was previously set back. When done right, this move completely deceives any defender.
Advice
- When dribbling, remember that you are always trying to deceive the defender, so don't stay too close or too far away.
- Make these moves when you are one on one with the defender. You must have enough space to attack and you must not be surrounded by a group of opponents.
- Practice these moves often before using them in a game.
- Remember the key: change pace as soon as you pretend! Before making the move, go at a slow speed and then accelerate as soon as you make it.
- The "Nutmeg" is actually a very successful and easy move to accomplish. The important thing is not to overdo the force you use. Kick the ball slowly, just enough to get it under your opponent's legs, and you can get it back before anyone else does.
- By practicing you can always improve your technique and perfect your style.
- To increase your speed, run cross-country. But don't get too tired by doing too many physical activities.
- Try faking a pass. Look at your teammate and pretend to pass the ball to him. When the defender tries to intercept the pass, discard it and pass it. It is quite easy.
Warnings
- Never be undecided whether to pretend or not. You always have to be safe when you discard an opponent. Only in this way will experience and practice allow you to master these moves.
- You need to be patient! Don't be mad if you can't fake a good one.
- If you get angry, release your tension on the ball. Kick it on the net!
- Don't sit on the ball. It could be oval.
