Having long hair is the dream of many women, but their daily care takes time and attention. Generally in the morning we have little time to devote to hairdressing, so our heads often appear neglected and untidy. If you want to know how to style your hair in an instant even when you are in a hurry, continue reading the article: you will learn how to make several simple and quick hairstyles that will allow you to have a fabulous look every day of the week.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Achieve a Perfect Tail
Step 1. The ponytail is a simple and chic hairstyle
It never goes out of style and is suitable for both formal occasions and everyday life. It is also a practical hairstyle, as it keeps the hair away from the face and does not need frequent touch-ups. To make it, you just need a brush, a rubber band and a few minutes.
Step 2. Brush your hair
The tail should be neat, free of knots or protrusions. Remember that the hair should always be brushed starting from the ends, and then gradually go up towards the roots, to avoid damaging them.
Step 3. Decide at what height to queue
You can go for a high, low or mid-rise ponytail. Base your choice on your preferences.
- If you prefer a low or mid ponytail, brush all your hair back and hold it in one hand. Before tying them, comb the roots with a fine-toothed comb to tame any unruly tufts and get a neater result.
- If you prefer to do a high ponytail, turn upside down and gather all your hair in one hand after brushing it down. Make sure you have eliminated all the knots and check that there are no bumps on the head. With the tail held at the desired height, return to an upright position and check for any unruly tufts or bulges. Comb the roots with a fine-toothed comb to tame any remaining unruly tufts.
Step 4. Tie the tail
Pull the hair through the elastic 2-3 times - the number of passes depends on the size of the elastic and how thick and thick your hair is. Make sure the elastic holds the tail firmly.
- Spray a thin layer of hairspray on the roots to set the style so you don't have to worry about fluttering hair throughout the day.
- Use a rubber band that promises not to break your hair. Since the ponytail must be tied quite tightly, it is important to choose an elastic that does not stress them and does not risk breaking them.
Step 5. Curl your tail
When the hair is tied up and tidy, curl the tips of the ponytail. Quickly divide it into 3-4 sections and create thick curls using a curling iron with a diameter greater than 3 cm. Finally fix the hairstyle with the spray hairspray.
Step 6. If you don't want to curl your ponytail, you can turn it into a braid
Braiding the hair after making the ponytail is very simple and guarantees an elegant and neat result. All you need is your brush, an extra rubber band and the right technique.
Part the ponytail hair into 3 even sections. Pass the left one under the middle section, then do the same with the right one. By continuing to move the 3 strands in this way you will get a classic braid. Wrap a rubber band around the ends of your hair when you are done braiding them
Method 2 of 4: Make a Donut Chignon
Step 1. The chignon is an elegant and refined hairstyle
Like the ponytail, the chignon never goes out of style and you can make it even if you only have a few minutes to get ready. All you need is your brush, two rubber bands and a donut shape, which you can easily find online or in hair accessories stores. If you don't have the sponge donut, you can replace it with a rolled up sock.
- Make a DIY donut with a wide stretchy tube sock. Cut the last 2-3 cm of a clean sock, then roll it up on itself to replicate the shape of the sponge donut you use to make the bun. Roll it up carefully to get a compact and even bun.
- The sponge donuts that you can buy online or in perfumery are available in various colors, to match that of your hair. You can find them in shades of blond, brown and black: choose the one that most closely resembles your hair.
Step 2. Collect your hair in a ponytail
The position of the donut bun depends on your preferences, so do the ponytail high or low, depending on your taste. The important thing is to create a taut and neat ponytail and comb any fluttering hair.
- Use a fine-toothed comb to flatten the hair at the root. If you prefer a more casual and messy-looking look, don't pull your hair too hard when combing it back.
- If there is any fluttering hair, you can spray some hairspray on the roots before using the fine-toothed comb. You will look neater and the hairstyle will last longer.
Step 3. Use the donut
Thread the tail through the hole in the center of the sponge donut or one you made from an old sock. Run it along your hair to get it as close to your head as possible. Before continuing, check that you have pushed all the hair through the hole, then brush it again if it seems necessary.
Step 4. Wrap the hair around the donut
First pull the ponytail hair up, then let it fall over the bun by covering it evenly. It must be completely hidden by the hair, there must be no spaces that allow you to see it. When you are sure it is hidden, wrap the ends of your hair around the sponge or sock, taking care to roll them around the base of the ponytail in one direction.
If some parts of the donut are left uncovered, it means that it is too big, so use a smaller one
Step 5. Add another rubber band
Especially if this is your first time doing this hairstyle, after spreading the hair around the bun it is best to secure it with a rubber band before rolling the ponytail around the base of the bun.
Step 6. If you have very long hair, divide it into two sections before rolling it around the base of the bun
Roll the two strands in opposite directions to create a ring of even thickness around the bun. Try to roll them as close as possible to the two overlapping rubber bands.
Step 7. Secure the ends of the hair with the bobby pins
After rolling the ponytail around the base of the bun, fix the hairstyle with the help of the bobby pins. You will need 4 or 5, depending on your hair type. Directional towards the center of the chignon, inserting them directly into the lower part of the sponge donut or under the rolled up sock. Make sure the bun is perfectly stable.
Step 8. The bun will last all day
This look is practical and durable. If you want to be sure that the hairstyle lasts until the evening, you can spray a veil of hairspray on your hair before leaving the house and keep it in your bag to use it if you feel you need to do a touch up in the middle of the day. Bring a few more bobby pins with you as well.
Method 3 of 4: Create Quick and Easy Hairstyles with Hairpins
Step 1. Try a retro look
Roll back the strands that frame the face and pin them with bobby pins for a romantic yet practical look that allows you to keep your hair off your face. To create this hairstyle you only need:
- A curling iron to create some soft and natural waves.
- Hairpins.
- Spray lacquer.
- A brush.
Step 2. Step the row aside
You can do the row right or left, depending on your best profile. After parting to one side with the comb, brush your hair forward and let it fall naturally over your shoulders. Make sure you have untied all possible knots.
Step 3. Twist the hair to one side of the face
After parting on one side, twist back the hair that falls in front of your eyes and then secure it with some bobby pins. As you roll them, bring them closer to the ruler.
Step 4. Show off your bobby pins
After having twisted the hair, secure it with the barrettes creating designs and geometries as desired. Just cross two colored hairpins to get a neat and at the same time effective look. Pin the strands just above the ears. To give more volume to the hairstyle, gently push the hair forward, towards the face, after placing the clips.
Step 5. Replicate the hairstyle on the opposite side as well
If you parted aside, take the strand of hair closest to your forehead and twist it around itself several times. Secure it just above the ear with the bobby pins replicating the design you created on the other side of the head. You can place the hairpins even further back, but not too far or the people next to you will not be able to see them.
Step 6. Curl your hair
After styling your hair around your face, you can curl the lengths and ends with an iron if you wish. Take a section about 3 cm wide and roll it around the iron while holding it vertically. Heat your hair for 5 seconds, then release the strand. You will get some fabulous spiral curls.
Step 7. Secure the hairstyle with the spray hairspray
When you're done using the curling iron, spray a thin layer of hairspray on the curls. Do not use the brush: if you want to loosen the curls slightly and create more volume, use your fingers. With the brush you would risk undoing the curls and pulling the clips.
Method 4 of 4: Curl Hair Without Using Heat
Step 1. Go to sleep with your hair tied up for soft, natural waves
Wavy hair can take a lot of work, but there is a trick to making it wavy without any effort. You only need:
- Modeling or volumizing mousse.
- Brush.
- Hair comb.
- Hairpins.
Step 2. Wash your hair as normal and let it dry almost completely
When they are 80% dry, apply a knob of modeling or volumizing mousse on the lengths and ends.
- Squeeze the mousse into the crook of your hand and distribute it evenly between your palms before applying it to your hair. Don't use too much to get a natural effect and don't weigh your hair down.
- After splitting the mousse between the two palms, run your fingers through the lengths to the tips. Start from the sides of the face, a few centimeters away from the roots, and work towards the nape of the neck to distribute the mousse evenly.
Step 3. Make the middle row
Part your hair into two large sections and start twisting one from the roots to the ends. Roll the strand around itself tightly, but not to the point of pain.
Step 4. Twist all the hair
Make sure you also roll up the hair that is in the center of the two main sections. The right way is to run your fingers through your hair as you twist it. Simply roll each strand back on itself by sliding your fingers through your hair as you go. Remove the hand you used to twist the strand and hold it steady with the other. Repeat the same steps until you have twisted your hair up to the ends.
Twist each section separately, but in the same direction. In practice, both must be rolled in the direction of the face or in the opposite direction
Step 5. Secure the twisted strands
After you have rolled up the two sections of hair, secure the two small buns on the head with the bobby pins. Make sure they are stable.
Step 6. Sleep with your hair tied up
The trick is to wait until the hair is perfectly dry before undoing the bun. The ideal is to go to sleep with your hair tied up to wake up with soft waves the next morning.
Step 7. Brush your hair
After removing the bobby pins and loosening the bun, you can gently brush your hair with the brush, or rather your fingers, to gently separate the waves. If desired, set the hairstyle with a veil of spray hairspray. The waves should last all day, but the result depends a lot on the type of hair, the climate and the products you used.
