Periodically or randomly, it can happen that you find yourself struggling with an invasion of ants, especially in the kitchen where there is food and water. Ants, in search of food, venture into the house, passing through small cracks and crevices: if you don't want to kill them, there are some remedies. For example, making sure that they find crumbs or other small leftovers outside the home and do not feel the need to search inside: therefore, to avoid seeing them scurrying around the kitchen top, it is good to ensure that, especially during hot season, they manage to fix something for their livelihood, in a controlled way. However, there could be other reasons why ants decide to enter the house, for example because they are attracted by the presence of waste, in particular damp, or food for animals that, normally, is on the floor. Less frequent, but not unlikely, they are driven by the search for water.
Steps
Step 1. Arrange the trash
To attract ants you can use leftover meat, containers of ice cream where residues are left, and bottles of particularly sweet drinks. Try to place the garbage bag somewhere that is easy for ants to access, perhaps on the balcony or in the garden.
Step 2. Place the garbage cans near the window or door, even better if outside the house
Once most of the ants are grappling with the large meal in the garbage bag, move it to the garbage cans or containers.
Step 3. If you are using a bin, remember to leave the lid ajar so that it can circulate unobstructed
As soon as they perceive the presence of scraps and leftovers, the ants will arrive en masse, pouncing on the wet. Once the ants are concentrated in the bag, you can take back your bin and put it back in the kitchen, without the hassle of ants. If you don't have a municipal waste bin, you can always buy a plastic one at home improvement stores or make one from scratch.
Step 4. When the municipal bins are emptied, the ants will run out of food for a couple of days, but the system should still work

Warnings
- To attract ants it uses meat, it seems to be very palatable. However, try not to leave the meat in the garbage for too long, especially in the warm months, or you'll end up with an invasion of worms and worms.
- Pay attention to the type of ant, there are some species that can sting or bite: still today they are quite rare in Italy, but they are starting to spread and overlap with local species.
