"Ghost" is a game in which you can channel one or more spirits and ask them questions (it is more effective than a very similar coin game). You will not see or hear the spirits, but they will speak to you through a deck of playing cards.
Steps
Step 1. The first thing you will need is to find a dark room
There must be absolutely no lights.
Step 2. Once you have found the appropriate room, get a candle and place it next to you
Create a circle to keep yourself safe from unwanted energies - when you come into contact with the spirit realm, it is possible to summon mischievous entities and therefore this is a mandatory precaution. The circle can be physical, therefore made of salt or stones, or it can be a metaphysical boundary of blue or white protective light. To start the game, light a candle or several candles. Spirits are attracted to fire. I haven't checked it out, but I think the more candles there are, the easier it will be to channel the spirits and the more fun the game will be.
Step 3. If you have any salt, place it near the candle or sprinkle it on the cards
Salt provides a kind of positive energy.
Step 4. Once all the candles are lit and the salt has been placed or sprinkled, take the deck of cards and start shuffling it, focusing on the spirits and the world beyond
Focus: You need to be in a serious state of mind before moving on to the next point. If there is more than one person playing, everyone will have to shuffle the cards and focus their energy on the deck and on the spirits and the world beyond.
Step 5. After everyone has shuffled the cards and transferred their energy to them, place as many as you like on the floor and / or surface you are playing on
It is useful to have extra cards, so don't lay them all on the ground.
Step 6. Next, choose a person to be a medium
The chosen medium will ask the spirits a question (the first question to ask is Do the spirits want to talk to us tonight?. If the answer is yes, then keep playing; if not, blow out the candles and the game will be over!) fly your hand over each card, looking for one that attracts energy. Curiously, the medium will now choose the paper that gives off the most heat of all. It's strange, but true: the cards give off heat at this point in the game. You will feel it when you pass your hand over it, which is precisely why you have to move your hands slowly and hold the candle in a place where its heat will not affect the heat emitted by the cards. It just has to produce light!
Step 7. When you have found the right card, flip it and find out the spirits' answer
Here is the code:
Step 8. Hearts - Yes
Step 9. Spade- No
Step 10. Quadri- Maybe
Step 11. Flowers- I don't know
Step 12. Then, keep asking several questions
If you keep getting the Don't Know or Maybe answer, it could mean your questions are too vague - try to be more specific. Some of the players might be skeptical about the answers, but the first time I played we asked 17 questions, turned 17 cards and all of them were Maybe or Don't Know. What are the odds of turning only 2 suits in 17 attempts when there are 4 different suits out of 52 cards? It's almost impossible; there is truth behind this game. Our questions were too vague, so we switched mediums. This game is a lot of fun - and it's also a great story to tell around!
Advice
It's fun to ask whose spirit is. Since you can only ask questions that can be answered with yes or no, you can ask questions like: Are you the spirit of […]?. In any case, I think it's best to reserve this type of question for an advanced part of the game, and start with others
Warnings
- If something strange starts to happen, stop playing right away. If you hear any whispering, someone touching you (very badly!) Or any strange feelings - anger, fear or sadness - stop playing! It's no fun living in a haunted house; it could be annoying if it's good, or dangerous if it's bad!
- DO NOT ask the spirits if they want to enter the house. If you ask them and they say yes, they will start living in your house - do you really want that?
