- Bread of your choice for the sandwich
- Tomato
- Potato
- Cucumber
- Carrot
- Butter or Mayonnaise
- Mint
- Coriander
- Green Chillies
- Onion
Method 2
- Bread of your choice, white or wholemeal
- Butter or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Mint or Coriander Chutney (made from leaves of the herb of your choice, ginger, chillies, salt, lemon or tamarind juice)
- Mashed potatoes
- Red onion, chopped
- Tomato, diced
- Cucumber, diced
- Chillies, chopped
- salt
- Mango powder
Steps
Method 1 of 2:
Step 1. Cook the potato in boiling water
Drain it and mash it.
Step 2. Grate the carrot and cucumber
Step 3. Slice or dice the tomato
Step 4. Add the spiced Indian chutney
Mix some mint leaves and coriander with some chillies. The quantities vary according to the number of sandwiches you want to make. Add a pinch of salt and a quantity of water sufficient to crush the ingredients and obtain a thick mixture.
Step 5. Spread butter on one side of the bun
Step 6. Spread the chutney on the other side
Step 7. Arrange the vegetables on the bread
Add the tomato, carrot and cucumber and top with a layer of mashed potato.
Step 8. You can also add a few drops of hot or sweet and sour sauce
Close the sandwich with the buttered slice of bread.
Step 9. Serve it hot
Method 2 of 2:
Step 1. Choose the bread you want, white or wholemeal
Step 2. Grease a slice of bread with butter or extra virgin olive oil
Step 3. Make the mint or coriander chutney
Crush a small bunch of leaves with a small amount of ginger, salt, and lemon or tamarind juice.
Step 4. Spread the chutney on the second slice of bread
Step 5. Mix the mashed potato, red onion, chillies, tomato and cucumber
Season with salt and dried mango powder.
Step 6. Spread the mixture on the buttered or oiled slice of bread
Top with the slice topped with the chutney.
Step 7. Grill or toast your sandwich
Serve it with ketchup.
