Unlike others, this method is very simple and accessible, as it does not involve the use of gunpowder. The ingredients needed for this experiment can be found in specialty stores in your area ('Snapper Pop Pops' can be found in fireworks stores, magnesium powder used in lighter bars can be found in stores that sell camping items, you will also need toy rocket propellant and powdered sugar). Steps
Step 1. Get some snappers
Step 2. Pour the magnesium powder on top of the 'Snapper Pop Pops' (a group of 6-8 elements)
Step 3. Add rocket propellant to the magnesium powder, and wrap all elements carefully
Step 4. Throw your smoke bomb to the ground; you should initially see a flash of light, then hear a pop followed by smoke
