Carp fishing is widespread in Europe and is gaining followers in the United States as well. Carp are attracted to sweet, crunchy baits that anglers often make themselves. Here are three recipes for making carp baits. Two of them require cooking, the third can be done directly on the fishing site.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Pasta Balls
Step 1. Combine the dry ingredients
Mix together 130g of flour and 260g of yellow flour in a bowl.
Step 2. Dissolve 45ml of strawberry jelly in 710ml of boiling water while still on the stove
Step 3. Combine the dry ingredients with boiling water
Step 4. Turn down the heat on the stove
Cook the bait for 5 minutes, always stirring.
Step 5. Remove the resulting paste from the heat
Let it cool down.
Step 6. Put the pasta in plastic bags and store it in the refrigerator
It can be kept for 1-3 weeks. Don't freeze it.
Step 7. Make balls of pasta when you need to go fishing
Method 2 of 3: Boiled balls
Step 1. Blend the dry ingredients in a large bowl
Combine 340g of yellow flour with 115g of brown sugar.
Step 2. Break 3 large eggs into flours
Add 60ml of cooking oil. Stir until you get a thick paste. It may be necessary to adjust the amounts of yellow flour or oil to achieve the right consistency.
Step 3. Add a few drops of red food coloring
Step 4. Rub your hands with cooking oil
This way the dough will not stick to the skin when you form the balls.
Step 5. Shape the dough into balls with a diameter of 2.5 cm
Step 6. Boil the balls in water for 2-3 minutes
The balls will swell considerably during cooking.
Step 7. Use a skimmer to recover the balls from the water
Let them dry on paper towels and wait for them to cool.
Step 8. Place the balls on a rack to dry them better
Leave them like this for 5-6 hours.
Step 9. Store the balls in a plastic food bag and put them in the freezer
Defrost them before using them.
Method 3 of 3: Uncooked Pasta Balls
Step 1. Combine the dry ingredients
Mix 260g of flour with 50g of crumbled wheat flakes, 25g of chopped peanuts and 100g of sugar.
Step 2. Add the wet ingredients
Mix 100g of margarine with 40ml of molasses.
