Commercial perfumes are expensive, and the instructions for self-production are often difficult to understand. Not to mention, you have no idea where to find the ingredients they tell you to use. But with these recipes, you can easily create a scent that will only be your own.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Allow the flowers to soak for one or more days
Step 1. Line a bowl with a gauze cloth, letting it protrude a little from the edges
Step 2. Place the flowers in the bowl
Step 3. Cover with water
Step 4. Let it sit overnight, and the next day as well
Leave to macerate for at least 24 hours.
Step 5. Remove the flowers from the bowl by wrapping them in the cloth
Step 6. Pour the water into a pot, and squeeze the gauze with the macerated flowers into the pot to recover all the scented water
Step 7. Put the pot on the stove, and let the water simmer until there is about a finger left
Step 8. Pour your perfume into a bottle
Use it!
Method 2 of 2: Quick procedure
Step 1. Place some very fragrant flowers, such as roses, in a bowl filled with water
Step 2. Squeeze the flowers with your fingertips
Step 3. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour
Step 4. After the prescribed time has elapsed, remove the flowers from the water
Filter the scented water with a colander or with a gauze or muslin cloth.
Step 5. Pour the water into a bottle
The latter is a very quick and cunning method. The scent made this way, however, will have to be reapplied often, or you can use it in the bathtub, to envelop yourself in a delicious scented cloud.
Advice

- If you want to create a truly unique scent, try experimenting with different amounts of different flowers until you find the fragrance you like best.
- It is an excellent gift idea for friends and family, and the fact that you made it with your own hands will make it even more exciting!
- You can also use dried flowers if you want (for example, in the winter months when fresh flowers are hard to find), but the scent will likely be lighter. Try to use more flowers than water, and leave them to soak longer.
- This perfume will keep for about a month, so do it little by little, if you don't use a lot of it.
- One of the best combinations is fresh lavender and jasmine.
- Try adding some food coloring for a more elegant presentation.
