Many girls want to lose weight safely and quickly, but they don't want anyone to know. This is a very common problem, and this article will help you! So find out how to lose weight without telling anyone!
Steps
Step 1. Calculate your BMI
There are many web pages (or even applications for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) that calculate BMI. BMI stands for Body Mass Index. Knowing this index you will know if you are seriously underweight, underweight, normal, overweight or obese. Use a BMI calculator that takes into account age and height! Check your weight now and, if you are normal, you shouldn't lose more than a few pounds. If you are underweight, you need to increase!
Step 2. Establish your weight goal
You need to have an attainable weight in mind and use this goal to keep yourself motivated. For example, if you weigh 66 kg, a good goal might be to drop to 61 kg, then 58, and so on until you reach your goal.
Step 3. Keep track of your calories
There are tons of great websites to track the calories you eat and burn, which will help you a lot in losing weight! There are also applications for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad that can help with this.
Step 4. Exercise
This is the most important factor in losing weight! Don't overdo it though, or you could risk damaging your health. Try going for a run when no one is home or, if there is someone, take the dog for a walk and, around the corner, start running!
Step 5. Eat a balanced diet
You need to take in proteins, carbohydrates, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, fiber, and even some fats. Make sure you consume all of these components throughout the day.
Step 6. Set a day of the week to "cheat"
That day you can eat what you want and as much as you want! It doesn't have to be the same day of the week all the time, once it can be Tuesday and the week after Sunday! But don't eat junk food just because it's the day you can "cheat".
Step 7. Weigh yourself once a week
Choose a day of the week to weigh yourself after getting up and going to the bathroom. Don't eat anything before weighing yourself. If you weighed yourself every day you would end up discouraged seeing that you only dropped a few ounces due to liquids.
Step 8. Check your progress
If you lose a pound in the first week, that's a big hit! Don't expect to lose 10 pounds a night, it takes some effort to effectively lose weight.
Step 9. Water is your best friend
Water will help you lose weight, so drink a lot. A nice glass before and during meals will make you feel full, and drink at least one glass between meals, for a total of 8 glasses. Also drink a lot while exercising to avoid dehydration. The more water you drink the better!
Step 10. Get enough rest
Go to bed at a reasonable time and get at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep. This will help you be more active during the day, and try not to sleep until 10 am.
