Gyros is an unmissable dish in Greek restaurants, and beyond. This recipe is made with pita and is delicious.
Ingrediants
- 700 g of rib of beef, lamb or chicken
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 6 large pitas (they may have a pocket or not. Those with pockets allow you to prepare sandwiches in a more orderly way)
- 200 g of yogurt
- 100 g of cucumbers cut into cubes
- Juice of one lemon
- 250 g of lettuce à la julienne
- 1 red onion cut into cubes
- 1 large tomato, sliced into 6 parts
Steps
Step 1. Let the grill preheat
Step 2. Season the meat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt and pepper
Step 3. Brush the pita bread with the remaining olive oil
Step 4. Place the meat on the grill and let it cook for 2 minutes on each side

Remove the meat from the heat and place it on a plate.
Step 5. Place the pita bread on the wire rack and let it cook for 2 minutes per side

Once it's ready, serve it up.
