Peeling a conventionally grown carrot removes many pesticides that tend to accumulate right in the skin. Many people peel carrots for simple cosmetic reasons.

Method 1 of 2: Method 1 of 2: How to Peel A Carrot Using A Peeler
Vegetable peelers only remove thin layers of skin, and when used gently they preserve the carrot layer that contains most of the nutritional benefits.
Step 1. Wash the carrot with cold water
Remove dirt and impurities with a nylon brush.
Step 2. Place a bowl on the table or countertop
The bowl is used to collect the pieces of carrot skin when you are peeling it.
Step 3. Hold the carrot between the thumb and forefinger of your non-dominant hand
Turn your hand with the palm facing the ceiling. The carrot should now be tilted 45 degrees facing the bowl with the tip inward.
Step 4. Place the peeler on the thickest tip of the carrot
Step 5. Slide the peeler down the entire surface of the carrot
You will get a thin layer of curled carrot skin. Drop it into the bowl.
Step 6. Turn the carrot slightly and repeat the procedure until there is no more skin to remove
Step 7. Place the carrot on a cutting board and cut the two ends with a small knife
Step 8. Once peeled, rinse the carrots
Step 9. Place the peeled carrots on a plate and continue to prepare them according to your recipe
Step 10. Throw the carrot peel into the trash or recycle it into the organic material
