While doing an exhibition at school, it can happen that you stammer or hesitate. If you, like many other people, suffer from stage anxiety, then try these tips!
Steps
Step 1. Get ready
If you step on stage without having the faintest idea of what you are going to say, then chances are you will hesitate and stammer. You don't need a perfectly written, flawless, Oscar-winning speech (save it for other occasions, such as a competition). The important thing is to have a general idea of what will be said. For example, if you have to talk about feline behaviors, consider three main points, such as neutral behavior, positive / happy behavior, and negative behavior. Then, elaborate on three main points regarding each of these topics.
Step 2. Stay calm
If you get upset, think about all the negative things that could happen and are full of doubts, then it is impossible for you to be able to express yourself correctly. Believe in yourself! If just before you speak you think "It's okay. I know what to say and I can absolutely make it ", everything will be great!
Step 3. Be optimistic
If you think, "I can't do it. I just can't speak in front of an audience" or "Everyone will hate the speech I worked so hard on because it's bad," you won't. But if you believe in yourself, others will too.
Step 4. Practice in front of the mirror and before taking the stage
The more you practice, the more you will be able to speak quickly and confidently.
