This article explains how to clear Snapchat stored data to free up space on your device.
Steps
Step 1. Open Snapchat
The icon depicts a white ghost on a yellow background. The camera will open.
If you don't already have an account, you need to download the application and create a profile before proceeding
Step 2. Swipe down to open the Snapchat main screen
Step 3. Tap the settings icon ⚙️ at the top right
Step 4. Scroll down and tap Clear Cache
This option is located in the section called "Account Actions" and is located almost at the bottom of the settings menu.
Step 5. Tap Clear Browser Cache
Step 6. Tap Clear to confirm and permanently delete all image data stored by Snapchat on your device
This option does not allow you to delete saved conversations, stories or chats. Emptying the browser cache is like deleting the browser's history and cookies
Step 7. Tap Clear Memories Cache
Step 8. Tap Clear to confirm
This will erase all image data associated with Memories that Snapchat has stored on your device.
This option does not erase the memories. When you view one, the device stores some data to facilitate and speed up access to the file. Clearing the cache only clears this data - you won't lose any memories
Step 9. Tap OK to restart Snapchat
Once the Memories cache is cleared, the application must be restarted.
